Played just before X'mas 2015 to get away from wet parkland courses. Course was tough to play due to strong winds but was in outstanding condition. Tight lies on the fairways and greens were remarkably fast and true. Very helpful staff in the shop and clubhouse though we couldn't eat after 16:00 hours nor book a solid tee-time which seems odd. Will play again though.

An excellent golf course. The greens were firm and quick. The fairways were stunning: I'm used to grass: this was turf and the sound of that wedge bouncing of the turf was wonderful. There is rough but generally pretty easy to find your ball. I played off the white tees which was long enough for me in a gentle breeze: 6700 yards, which meant I couldn't reach all the par 4s into the wind. You can go back further to make it 6900 yards but I'd only recommend that for serious golfers. I will definitely be back; wish I lived in Middlesborough! This course should be ranked much higher than 25th in Yorkshire, it is a genuine test of your game and as they say: the only true links in the county. My score 85; handicap 10.

Played on a wet windy winters day, but the course was in excellent condition and the greens were superb. No rough to speak of, but I am told in the summer its brutal. I will be coming back to find out for sure.

Wind weather but dry.Couple of holes out off bounds,but a hard course in the wind.Very rough in places lost a couple of balls.Greens excellent running fast.Over all excellent course, all staff in club house and pro shop where very frendly and helpfull.

Best course in our area for winter golf, greens are nearly always playable and I have play it after the worst wet weather when local non links courses, are closed. Greens are very good.
