Society day at Chester GC
Being a 28 handicapper playing a tight tree lined course is interesting to say the least but I have to say that Chester GC is a cracker.I managed to play 27 holes without losing a ball which is a first. The course is tight and tricky but offering chances at the same time.I went with a friends Society but would definitely visit again.Well worth a visit regardless of your golfing ability.Pro shop seems quite cheap compared to others also .Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable parkland course
The layout is good with some great elevated tees. Green were acceptable for this time of year. Due to the relentless rain in the area there was quite a bit of standing water, but this didn't spoil the round.Reviewer Rating

Course in good condition, on some of the holes there was a lot of surface water and mud? I lost 3 balls just missing fairways as they plugged into the ground couldn't find them. Some very interesting holes all lined with trees greens were fantastic, had bacon butty and coffe and a roast afterwards very nice

Tidy mature parkland course on two levels with good views of the welsh hills at the top. Undulating greens which while slow rolled true. Fairways very firm and tightly tree lined and no rought to speak of. Very enjoyable.

It's a nice course in good condition but I wouldn't pay £35 to play a round unless the course was in open qualifier conditions. It just isn't pretty enough or challenging enough to warrant a £35 green fee.
