Classic Surrey Heathland

Stunning
Traditional golf club, but incredibly friendly staff and a warm welcome.Amazing course with superb greens.
We played off the members tees which are the purples. This requires lots of long Carrie’s over heather etc to reach the fairways. The yellow tees are much friendlier.
The halfway hut was great with lovely sausage rolls.
The range is good but you need to bring your own balls and collect them afterwards. There are a couple of nets though.
It’s pricey, but this was a special occasion, so well worth it.

Lovely course, great condition, fast greens, some very memorable holes. Not the longest but all holes are challenging - lots of bunkers

Every hole is different
Played it for the 4th time. Every hole is different and brings its own challenge. I'm a 28 hcp so got lots of extra shots but despite it being tough I was able to enjoy it - I remembered most of the holes so that helped. The course was in fantastic condition, greens impossible lol! It's a parkland course (I think) - beautiful trees - and I love the 16th which plays over water. I hate a course with no water! Clubhouse, food and service all excellent.Reviewer Rating

Superb condition
Really lovely course in superb nick. Greens are like carpets, but quick as any I've played this year. Heather is punishing, no easy shots out of that stuff. It's a real pleasure just to walk round. Wind played a major part on out round. Mostly with us on the way out, but oh boy on the back nine, with it in our faces most of the way it made it very, very difficult. Clubhouse not yet open, but have eaten here before and know it's very good.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 11.6)

Love playing this course
Once again we chose the hottest day of the year to play. With record temperatures in the UK the course was in excellent condition although the greens seemed a little slower than last time but just ass tricky to read.This course should be on everyones bucket list.

Great potential
You have to really think around this course and can't just get the driver out every hole. The course has heather and plenty of large bunkers around to keep you honest. My own issues were with the conditions of the fairways and the bunkers, the greens were very good just wish people repaired their pitch marks.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 16.1)

Great Course But......
The fairways are still suffering from last year's heatwave. The clubhouse, greens etc. are very good to excellent and therefore would recommend.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 87 Handicap: 12.7)

Very goood experience
What a lovely course. Great layout and a real assortment of challenges. Position is king here. Lots of newly rebuilt bunkers (full of quality sand) greens are tricky all the way round. Fairways are still recovering from last years scorching but nothing too bad. Staff are friendly and welcoming.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: 14.2)

Better than the 3 W's
Played the 3 W's last year as part of a society but this course is better, some stunning holes with some visually fantastic approach shots, not overly tight off the tee but position is important, testing greens (quickish) with some good bunkering, like to return as course knowledge would be helpful as one or two blind shots to negotiate, fantastic layout.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 16.5)
