What the club says: We are a thriving and traditional members club situated in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds offering a warm welcome to visitors and societies. Our course is extremely well-used and because of this we limit society bookings to summer season only and groups must be in excess of 16 pers.
Our course was opened for play in 1936 and has steadily evolved to present a first class parkland layout that offers a challenging yet rewarding test of golf in beautiful natural surroundings. We are particularly noted for our tree lined fairways, high quality greens and an interesting challenge on each hole.
To match the course, our comfortable and friendly clubhouse offers excellent catering and bar facilities. The Club remains popular with our many visitors who return year after year.

Excellent Course on the edge of The Cotswolds
Superb course, with a challenging layout, to test all levels.The tee-boxes are in better conditions to many other clubs greens.
Fairways beautifully maintained.
Greens in superb condition.
Friendly club, excellent halfway house refreshments.
Great value food in the clubhouse. Best bacon sandwich ever.

Great condition
Greens very hard to read & a couple of very hard par fours unless you are long!What impressed me was the hoovering up of the leaves, most courses just blow them & they come back.

Lovely parkland course
Burford is a well kept and well looked after course. The facilities in the clubhouse are excellent and the food very good. We found the club very welcoming and we all enjoyed playing there. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 17.4)

Course was immaculate and greens were superb. Fairways are a little tight but rewards are there if you stick to them. Golf shop and Professional is excellent.

Cotswold Classic
Lovely, mature woodland course on the edge of the Cotswolds. Lots of society golfers and competitions can be a little annoying for club members, due to tee closures due to them. No formal tee times, just turn up and play, starting from either the 10th or 1st tees. Largely friendly. Several slow rounds due to slow golfers ahead not giving way. Beautiful course, immaculately turned out
The course is a gem of a parkland course. A members club with some of the best bunkers (lots of sand) and greens (fast, true and so well turned out) I have played.Enjoyed playing immensely and will definitely be back.

Lovely course

Up there with the best in Oxon
Top quality track, very tight and tests all area of the game. Only let down by it's practice facilities which the club, to their credit, are working on.Seriously good course.

Fulford Heath Golf Club Away Day
What an excellent choice we made to hold our annual B Team outing at Burford. The course was in superb condition and challenging enough to test those with a lower handicap. The greens were in excellent condition if a touch slower than expected. The Club made us feel very welcome with a wonderful breakfast and two course meal after the 18 holes.10 out of 10 for an excellent day out, thank you Burford.

This is a terrific course. The greens had not long been slitted and were heavily sanded. This at the right time of year would be fantastic. You have to accept that work needs to be carried. Shame it was when we were there.

Real Cotswold Gem
The course is immaculate...not a random leaf on the ground or a blade of grass out of place. Greens are firm, fast and true, and again, immaculate. A must play if you\'re in the area. Truly stunning. Clubhouse nice too...bit dated but service great, food great, members very friendly. Most of all though, pace of play was fair and steady. Extremely enjoyable. Top class.Reviewer Rating
