Temporary greens despite not being much frost. Our green fee was adjusted accordingly. Service in the club house was not at all welcoming.

Lovely mature parkland and heath course in very well established setting great condition and fine homely atmosphere in friendly club

Great condition
Greens very hard to read & a couple of very hard par fours unless you are long!What impressed me was the hoovering up of the leaves, most courses just blow them & they come back.

Cotswold Classic
Lovely, mature woodland course on the edge of the Cotswolds. Lots of society golfers and competitions can be a little annoying for club members, due to tee closures due to them. No formal tee times, just turn up and play, starting from either the 10th or 1st tees. Largely friendly. Several slow rounds due to slow golfers ahead not giving way. This is a terrific course. The greens had not long been slitted and were heavily sanded. This at the right time of year would be fantastic. You have to accept that work needs to be carried. Shame it was when we were there.

good course in excellent condition. good practice facilities but the range is lacking. the A361 cuts the front and back 9 in half. which is a shame.

Excellent condition for Dec 23rd. Only 2 temp tees. Greens and fairways very good. Hospitality in pro shop was excellent, even lent me a pair of golf shoes as I'd left mine in a friends car! Good food after, all at fair prices. Can't wait to play again in spring/ summer.

I have played Burford a few times recently. The course is always in excellent condition. Greens are true and fast. Most fairways are tree lined so you need to be straight off the tee or your 2nd shot will be a chip out sideways.
My only complaint would be the bunkers. There are many of them ,but they don't seem to have enough sand in, errant drives often just roll straight through them and out the other side. After a few efforts to get out I just ended up playing bunker shots like normal pitch shots with my pitching wedge as there wasn't enough sand to play a 'normal' bunker shot
