What the club says: The course is parkland measuring 6813 yards, par 73, standard scratch 73, and can prove a real test of golf, particularly in windy conditions. All but 3 holes were part of the former opencast coal site. A large number of conifer and deciduous trees and shrubs have been planted which have now matured giving beautiful tree lined fairways. The course demands good straight drives and accurate iron play into tight and bunkered greens.
The facilities include generous practice areas for putting, chipping and bunker shots and a separate practice area for general irons and woods practice. Experienced pro shop staff, excellent catering and a warm welcome awaits you at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club.

Bedlington golf
Played the seniors open in June 2026, great clubhouse and welcome on the first tee by the starter wearing a bowler hat. The course was in excellent condition and at par 73 it’s a fair challenge. The whole course was immaculate and each hole felt different. There are lots of trees which protect from the wind if it blows. When we played the Rhododendrons were also in bloom which made a couple of the holes feel like Augusta!Reviewer Rating

Great course
The course provided a really stern challenge not only because of it's length overall but the greens are difficult to read and are in excellent condition. We thoroughly enjoyed the round but the weather could have been better as it is a challenging course on normal conditions. Overall a great course and really good food in the clubhouseReviewer Rating

Fantastic condition
Bedlingtonshire is a fantastic parkland course with a good combination of holes, some gettable par 5s alongside a couple of long par 4s to make it a good challenge. Well placed bunkers keep you honest off the tee and the combination of 13-14-15 is stunning when the rhododendrons are in bloom.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course
If I'm being honest, this is not one of my favourite courses in the North East, but as a fader of the ball a lot of holes just don't seem to suit my eye. Bunkers on the front nine were poor as far as I was concerned, but the quality improved markedly on the back nine, with much better sand conditions.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course
Tough course, particularly off the whites, although the yellows are tricky as well. Quite long, so you need to drive well, and the 13th and 15th are tight off the tee. However, it's a good challenge and some really nice holes, good facilities too. All in all, well worth the green fee.Reviewer Rating

Excellent Course
What a fantastic setup this is. Really good short game practice area, good welcome in the pro shop and a very well presented course. Only thing missing is a driving range. The course is long but wide and at times is a tough test but there are opportunities to score. The back nine is superb as is the clubhouse for an after round drink. For the price this is a must play course.

Great course
Haven't played here for 7 years before today, but on reflection I shouldn't have left it this long. Quite a long course, so you need to make the most of the par 5's. Also has it's own 'Amen Corner', with 2 tough par 4's (especially if you fade the ball off the tee!) and a par 3. Condition was great, and the set up of the course is excellent. Well worth a round of golf.Reviewer Rating
