Excellent condition on both fairways and greens.
Really testing experience for all handicaps.

Really pleased with this course.... greens were in great nick considering how hot and dry its been lately. As a result probably not as short as they could have been shaved but this is understandable.

If this course was fully irrigated would be one of the best in Kent i think. Every hole is interesting with different gradients and cuts into the fairway. A good mix of open and narrow fairways with some very long and difficult rough if you are wayward off the tees. If you spray the ball 30 yards either side of straight expect to be punished.

Greens excellent. Don't think you'll find your ball in the off fiarway rough , long thick grass and clover will conspire to swallow all balls inconsiderate enough to take a dive into the undergrowth !

Fantastic course, best in the area for me.
The yardage makes it seem daunting, and the comments about if you stray from the fairway you will be in trouble arent true, unless you go into the deep rough 10 yards off the fairway
I am a 12 handiap and scored 80, its a very fair course and you dont have to be a huge hitter

Course was in good condition, greens a little slow for my liking and rough was way too long to be a fair test. I would recommend having a thicker cut after the first cut and before the deep stuff

Lots of people told us we'd need a buggy but we ignored that and as it turned out it was quite walkable.

It is hilly, especially the climb to the 17th and even further uphill to the 18th, but I found it a very enjoyable course. You just have to be ready to play to the contours, be they across the fairway or up / down hill.

One par three is 230 yards long but about 100 feet drop (play it like a 4!) A real challenge.

Unfortunately we played in some rough weather but I would definitely return when it's dry.

Have played this course twice now and both times the greens have been in outstanding condition. The best greens I have found in the area, true roll very fast and excellently maintained.

The course is long and challenging, but gives relief with the wide fairways. A stunning (W:245 Y:226) front 9 par 3 from what seems like the top of a cliff as well as a similiar par 4 on the back 9 contribute to what is a fantastic course.

For a pay and play (members only I think weekend mornings) it's fantastic value and strongly reccommend. About 4 of the first 6 holes are extremely tough, get through them and you could score well on the back 9.

Fairways are decent, but main attraction is the stunning layout and perfect greens.

Played here on a very blustery but sunny afternoon and at £20 the green fee was fairly reasonable. I'd played here once before but forgot just how tough this course can be - and the wind certainly didn't help.

As already stated by many, the course is extremely sloping; up and down steep hills and fairways that slope off dramatically, so on many holes you're struggling for a level stance. But this time around, the course wasn't helped by a few too many bald patches on the fairways. Too often I was hitting from mud which meant it was very difficult to get a connection.

The biggest letdown for our group were the greens. Some were patchy with long grass here and there, and the majority had a 'crunchy' feel to them with stained areas - obviously they'd been treated and the spray had just dried to form a coating which got rid of any grab and played havoc with putting. You couldn't get any feel for consistency from green to green and every putt was a game of pot luck.

Added to that, some of the greenside bunkers were in shocking condition with hardly any sand to play from. I had a good drive on the 18th but what looked like a decent approach skidded off the patchy green and into the bunker. First attempt to get out, couldn't get underneath the ball. The second I tried to give a bit more with the lob wedge to cut through what sand there was, but found there was no chance... and could only thin the shot across the green and into the water. Massively annoying!

This course IS tough, yes. It IS extremely hilly so buggies are a good choice. But the conditions yesterday left a lot to be desired. If there was some much-needed TLC paid to the bunkers and greens it may be worth a return, but on yesterday's showing I won't be back in the hurry.

Very nice course with lots of interest from the tee. Good length par 3's and some easily reachable par 4's. Buggy not essential but advised.

First time playing here. Nice course with several interesting holes, mainly caused by changes in elevation. Pleyed on a very cold winters day but no temp tees or grees which is a great credit to the ground staff. Will be back to play again the summer.

Course is interesting & quite challenging, but a relatively tough walk with a few severe climbs & descents,it was in as good a condition as possible for mid-November but clearly would be much better in the summer months. The staff on the whole were good, albeit a little flaky when things get busy, unfortunately one of the staff clearly doesn't have his heart in the job and his poor attitude is at the detriment of the whole exerience - although I wouldn't expect him to keep his job much longer barring a massive change of personality.
