Spain will always remain one of the most popular countries to visit for a golf break, largely thanks to its climate and love for the sport.

Some of the world’s leading resorts and courses are located in Spain, which explains why the DP World Tour commonly stop off at this part of the world.

Below, we provide information on 15 of the best places in Spain for a golf break - how many have you visited?

Hotel Camiral Golf & Wellness

Hotel Camiral Golf & Wellness is a newly refurbished, 5* hub that is the perfect base for a golf break to Spain, as the hotel boasts 144 rooms that come equipped with beautiful views of the entire complex. The venue is located closely to Girona and within easy reach of Barcelona, and there are two brilliant golf courses attached to the resort. The Stadium Course is ranked as the number one course in Spain, whilst Hotel Camiral oozes with luxury.

Arabella Golf Mallorca

Whilst Spain is littered with brilliant golf resorts, there aren’t many more impressive than Arabella Golf Mallorca, which is undoubtedly a leading resort for Spanish golf. In total, there are a whopping 63 holes located on site, which makes it the largest resort in Spain with four championship golf courses located just five minutes from the Palma de Mallorca centre.

Infinitum Golf & Beach Resort


If you’re looking for a golf break that is packed with excitement and fun, then look no further than Infinitum Golf & Beach Resort. There are two 18-hole courses attached to the resort, and another smaller 9-hole routing that is ideal for novices. Ona Hacienda del Alamo

Ona Hacienda is based in a tropical setting, with a brilliant golf course and welcoming hotel. There is a collection of modern apartments available for renting, whilst the on site golf course is designed in a classic resort style, but it is wide enough for higher handicappers to enjoy a game. Having noted that, the course has been created with better players in mind. Golfers will find everything they need to warm up due to brilliant practice facilities.

Grand Hyatt La Manga Club & Spa

Grand Hyatt La Manga Club & Spa is a 5* luxurious hotel and golf resort that boasts 192 rooms that come fully equipped with all the modern amenities needed for your stay. The resort is home to three championship golf courses that offer an exciting challenge. The South Course - designed by Arnold Palmer - provides the biggest test due to strategically positioned hazards. La Manga was voted as ‘Europe’s Leading Sports Resort’ in 2019.

Roda 525 Hotel

For golfers who are looking to blend a traditional holiday with a few rounds of golf, the Roda 525 Hotel is the perfect base for your trip. Due to the hotel’s proximity to the lively Nerjos Square, there are more than 50 different bars and restaurants situated closely to the premises. Roda Golf Course is also located closely to the hotel and the shorter course is a brilliant option for all abilities of golfer.

La Finca Resort

Based on the Costa Blanca coast lies Melia Villaitana, a 4* resort that overlooks two of the best golf courses in Spain. The hotel is part of a gigantic resort that is home to 356 guestrooms and plenty of activities to keep your party occupied when not golfing. The golf, however, is the star of the show; two Nicklaus-designed golf courses are located on site and if you’re on the hunt for a real challenge, the Villaitana Levante Course measures in excess of 7,000 yards from the tips.

Hotel Bonalba Alicante

Hotel Bonalba is a stylish and cosy hotel that acts as the ideal base for exploring the expansive Costa Blanca. Each room is spacious and they feature a private balcony and free Wi-Fi for guests to enjoy. The golf course is in a parkland setting and due to several water hazards, it provides a hefty challenge that is only bolstered when fighting the swirling winds that play havoc on the home stretch.

Precise Resort El Rompido

This stylish 5* hotel provides amazing value for money, it also forms part of the Costa de la Luz resort, which is one of the greatest throughout Spain. Precise Resort El Rompido boasts 182 rooms and 12 suites that offer easy access to the beach. The resort is home to two brilliant golf courses - North and South - which are a mix of classic wooded parkland and protected marshland. The views on offer are some of the very best.

DoubleTree by Hilton Islantilla Beach Golf Resort

Set in the basking Costa de la Luz, DoubleTree by Hilton Islantilla Beach Golf Resort features 27 holes of golf and varying accommodation options. The hotel is set in the middle of the resort’s on site golf course and each room is spacious with 4* standards that you would expect. The Islantilla Golf Club boasts a parkland setting and you can combine the different nines to create three unique experiences.

Barcelo Montecastillo

All 124 rooms at Barcelo Montecastillo are dipped in elegance, which reflects the luxurious stay you’re in for. With multiple restaurants and activities located at the hotel, travellers will be spoiled for choice of entertainment. The golf offering is a single 18-hole championship routing that was designed by golf’s leading figure: Jack Nicklaus. It played host to the European Tour for five consecutive years from 1997 to 2001.

Lauro Golf Resort

Malaga is home to the Lauro Golf Resort, which is made up from a group of environmentally friendly townhouses. The accommodation options range greatly, as you can book a two bedroom apartment or a four bedroom townhouse, depending on the size of your party. There are 27 holes that have been designed by Folco Nardi, whose mission was to create a golf course that respected the surrounding wildlife. Throughout all three loops, there are a total of 17 lakes!

The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa is located only 10 minutes away from Puerto Banus and the hotel offers 170 decorated bedrooms with a fabulous 27-hole golf course.
