Golfshake Android App Launched

Following the launch of the iOS App at the end of 2015 we are excited to announce the release of the Golfshake Android app. The Golfshake app is available to download in the Google Play Store initially for golfers in the UK.

Similar to the popular iPhone app the Android version focuses on the core Golfshake functionality for golf score tracking, stats tracking, golf handicaps as well as providing access to the UK golf course directory and access to over 100,000 golf course reviews.

Golfers using the app to track their scores can use the simple scoring to record their rounds which provides access to the Golfshake golf handicap system allowing them to track and maintain their handicap and know their playing ability.  The app also allows golfers to track the scores for their golf fourball.

Additionally golfers can switch to the stat scoring mode to track fairways hits, putts, bunkers & penalties to really get inside their game.  Using the app in conjunction with the Golfshake website provides a great way for golfers to analyse their strength & weaknesses and benchmark their game on their quest to becoming better golfers.

As with the Golfshake score tracking website the app provides access to a multitude of golf data during a round or post round.  The app provides access to individual hole data as well as a running total of; gross score, stableford points, to par plus access to a leaderboard showing gross, nett & points if multi players are being scored.

The app also provides access to the Golfshake UK course directory so that golfers can quickly find information on where to play, contact information for clubs, access to scorecards and access to the 100,000s of independent golf course reviews.

The Golfshake app is a companion service to the Golfshake website which provides in-depth game analysis to help improve your game through benchmarking and analysis to identify your strengths & weaknesses.  Tracking scores through Golfshake has been proven to help improve your game and on average golfers will save 3 shots on their golf handicap by simply recording their stats and focusing on their scores through use of our score tracking service.

An account isn't required to access to the Golfshake app but this will only provide access to the golf course database and reviews.  A free account is required to track rounds and stats.
