Golfstream Unveils Two New Trolleys

By: Golf Shake | Tue 29 Apr 2014

golfstream new trolleysGolfstream has unveiled its first new trolleys since joining forces with fellow UK manufacturer Greenhill - spearheaded by the superb remote controlled DV.8 model.

The Remote Control DV.8 becomes the flagship trolley in an exciting range of four 100% British-built Golfstream products, all precision engineered with painstaking attention to detail and designed to be the most reliable powered golf trolleys available.

Alongside the DV.8 comes the new Duo, a feature-packed trolley with twin click-and-fold points, while Golfstream's existing Revo and Evo trolleys (the former featuring a unique superfast one-click folding mechanism) complete the Kent company's line-up.

The DV.8 presents golfers with exceptional British build quality and an outstanding set of features.

This includes: Sprung suspension, Anti-splatter Mudguards, machined contrast colour anodised metal fittings, Fold Under Zero-Tip Rear Stabiliser Wheel, fold-under Anti-Clog Front Wheel HousingTM, twin 200 watt motors and CaddyCell lithium power source.

The Zero-Tip Rear Stabiliser WheelTM prevents the trolley from falling backwards on sharp inclines, while the Anti-Clog Front Wheel HousingTM slides out and folds under to make the DV.8 incredibly compact when being stored or transported.

And with a T-bar handle, hidden aerial and full digital display powered by industry-leading Electromech electronics, the DV.8 can be fully controlled by the handset up to 100 meters away for direction, flat speed adjustment and braking, it even goes in reverse!

For golfers looking for a top-specification and reasonably-priced twin-fold trolley, Golfstream introduces the new Duo, which benefits from over 20 years of golf trolley engineering experience and excellence.

It has been specifically designed to deliver powerful performance and ultimate reliability over all terrain and is propelled by a single British made 200 watt motor with a wide choice of compatible power sources, from lead acid to lithium batteries.

With twin click-and-fold points, The Golfstream Duo is easy to put up and down, while the anti-clog front wheel makes it a joy to use in tricky ground conditions. Another innovative feature is the short rear 'legs' which enable the folded trolley to be stood upright when stored.

British Made Electromech electronics feature throughout and include security code programming, distance control settings, speed increments from 0 to 9.5 and left or right hand operation.

Both the new trolleys also come with Golfstream's uniquely engineered S5 Sport Helix wheels, which have been inspired by the design of some of the best alloy wheels in the motoring sector.

Unveiling the DV.8 and Duo, Golfstream's Derek Richford said: "There is a massive amount of shared golf trolley engineering experience within Golfstream and Greenhill and this has really come to the fore with the DV.8 and Duo.

"We want golfers to understand and appreciate that wholly British-made trolleys are superior to those made in the Far East, or those that are assembled in the UK using imported parts which can prove to be unreliable, then difficult to repair or replace.

"The DV.8 demonstrates exactly what can be achieved when, at the outset, there is no compromise on design, manufacturing or quality and reliability standards. And, as such, it is very much a flagship trolley for Golfstream.

"But we have also been able to incorporate some of the new engineering quality and technology from the DV.8 into the Duo and our other models."

For instance, the Golfstream DV.8 and Duo trolleys are designed to eliminate bag twist by not holding bags on the trolley's single central supporting beam. Instead, the top bag stays are all attached to the stronger, more stable rear part of the chassis on every trolley. This design characteristic is also used in the Revo.

All trolleys are supported by Golfstream's own UK-based customer service centre, which is fully stocked with all spares ever required for any of its trolleys - and most other makes.  It is the largest independent supplier of trolley spares and accessories in Europe.
