County Partnerships rally in support of National Golf Month

By: | Tue 22 Apr 2014

National Golf Month

Golf clubs across the country are backing National Golf Month by offering great value activities to support the drive to get more adults playing the game.

National Golf Month will be held across the UK in May and the countries courses and ranges will offer a wide range of opportunities to attract and retain beginners and returners in regular participation.

They include the opportunity to learn golf in a month for only £25.00 with five group beginner lessons at more than 12 venues throughout the county.

National Golf Month is a major campaign to offer beginners and 100,000 lapsed golfers opportunities to try the game. It’s being driven by the Bauer Media Group and the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) and is supported by England Golf through the Get into golf campaign, which is run by the national network of County Golf Partnerships.

Full details about Durham’s activities, as well as all the other opportunities across England, are available on the Get into golf website www.getintogolf.org/map

Get into golf is a campaign which aims to inspire more adults in England to take up the sport, with low-cost structured coaching with PGA professionals.
