Jeff Overton joins Adams Golf

By: | Wed 09 Jan 2013

Adams Golf have announced that 2010 Ryder Cup member Jeff Overton has joined the company’s PGA Tour staff and will make his 2013 debut this week at the Sony Open at Waialae CC in Honolulu, HI.

Sporting the brand’s logo on his bag and headwear, the 29-year-old will also employ Adams’ industry-leading Velocity Slot Jeff Overton AdamsTechnology (VST) by using the SUPER LS hybrid.

“Throughout my time on the PGA Tour, numerous players have shared how their performance has benefitted significantly from Adams hybrids,” said Overton. “The company’s R&D and Tour staffs have really helped me with the new SUPER clubs, and I’ve learned really quickly how Velocity Slot Technology launches the ball farther when I hit the sweet spot and is especially important for off-center hits.”

Debuting at retail in the UK and Europe from late February, the SUPER family will include S and LS models in drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. All clubs will feature, for the first time, a matte white crown with contrasting PVD face to inspire confidence and make the club easier to align. Accompanying the hybrids and metalwoods will be SUPER S Irons, bringing to an iron set the award-winning technology used in hybrid development. A half-hollow construction features a thinner face to boost ball speed, enhanced shaping to produce better balance, and an undercut design for improved feel and performance.
