Andreas Harto re-signs for Wilson - uses FG Tour V2

By: | Tue 18 Dec 2012

Andreas Hartø, the talented Dane with three professional victories to his name in as many years, has re-signed with Wilson Golf in a multi-year deal ahead of his return to the European Tour next season.

Harto was victorious in this year’s D+D Real Czech Challenge Open and recorded eight other top ten finishes on the Challenge Tour. He will continue to play with the Wilson FG Tour V2 irons that helped him to a third-place finish in the overall rankings and re-qualification for the European Tour at the first attempt.

“The Wilson Staff FG Tour V2 irons have played a big part in my success and I’m really looking forward to using them again on the European Tour,” said Hartø, who first signed with Wilson Golf in 2010 after becoming the fastest player to win two Challenge Tour titles.

The 24-year-old will also carry the distinctive red and white Pro Tour bag, feature the Wilson Staff logo on his headwear and help with the brand’s club development.

“Andreas performed superbly again this year and we’re delighted that he’s chosen to play Wilson Staff for his second full season on the European Tour,” said Doug Wright Commercial Director for Wilson Golf in Europe. “He’s a great prospect for the future  and we’ll continue to value the feedback he gives to our R&D team.”

Hartø joins recent Ryder Cup star and 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie, three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington, Englishman Anthony Wall, and PGA Tour stars Ricky Barnes and Kevin Streelman, who have all re-committed to Wilson Staff for 2013.
