FootJoy enjoyed yet another historic weekend on the European Tour as brand ambassador, Matteo Manassero claimed the third title of his young career at the Barclays Singapore Open.

After play was delayed on days two and three at the Sentosa Golf Club due to storms, the 19 year-old eventually prevailed with an eagle at the third play-off hole from to defeat fellow FJ wearer, Louis Oosthuizen. In doing so he became the first teenager ever to win three European Tour titles.

The Italian, who became The European Tour’s youngest winner two years ago and added a second title in neighbouring Malaysia last season, then birdied the 72nd hole for a final round 69 to tie with Oosthuizen on 13 under, after the former Open Champion had closed with a 67. A tense playoff ensued with the Italian eventually holing a thrilling eagle putt from 15 feet at the third play-off hole to deny Oosthuizen a third win of the season. World #1 Rory McIlroy completed an FJ shoe and glove one-two-three and in doing so also secured the coveted season-long Race to Dubai title.
