2011 Gtour Grand Finalist and regular Gtour player Graham Miles won his 1st event on the Gtour at top 100 course Moor Allerton near Leeds.

Miles, a 5 handicapper from Boughton Golf Club, Kent, said he was surprised to have won with only 34 points but it was a testament to how difficult the course at Moor Allerton Played.

Moor Allerton has been a favourite with the Gtour players since the course hosted their 1st event back in 2010. Following months of “very British weather” the course greeted the players in impeccable condition and with clear blue skies above offered a magnificent challenge to the players who had travelled to West Yorkshire.

Graham Miles - Gtour Moor Allerton

”I was hoping for a top 10 finish and having started badly with a double bogey on the 1st –  I expected the worst !”  said Miles.

”I started to relax and decided to enjoy the day, and somehow managed to hang in and hole a couple of putts which made all the difference to my score.”

Graham now sits in 12 on the 2012 Gtour Order of Merit and will be preparing for the UK Semi Final at De Vere Belton Woods in November.

The tour now progresses to De Vere Oulton Hall for the 9th Qualifying event of the 2012 season with many players looking to secure their place at the UK Semi Final and start their Campaign to win one of 10 places at the Grand Final in Cyprus in January 2013.
