
Nike Golf appoints new UK & Ireland sales manager
Nike Golf today announced the appointment of Andrew Green as its new sales manager for the UK. Effective immediately, Andrew will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the Nike Golf brand in England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Based in Kent, 42-year-old Andrew has been with Nike Golf since 2002, having joined from his role as a sales manager with Unilever, and has vast experience in the golf retail industry.
Starting his career at Nike Golf as a field sales representative, Andrew has progressed up the company, working as an account manager between 2003-2007, where he helped establish relationships with key accounts, including JJB, Sports Direct, American Golf and Direct Golf. During his four-year period in the role Nike Golf’s apparel revenues increased 75%.

For the last two years, Andrew has worked as UK & Ireland category sales manager for the apparel and footwear division of the brand, helping to achieve a 13% growth in shoe sales despite the challenging economic climate.

With his unparalleled contacts in the UK, a track record of exceeding targets, and his passion for developing the Nike Golf brand, Andrew is a natural choice to take on this challenging role in what has become a big-selling region for Nike Golf.
Filling the shoes that Andrew has left behind is Sutton Coldfield based David Barton who will transition into category sales manager for apparel and footwear effective immediately. David joined Nike Golf in 2008 as UK & Ireland category sales manager for hardware and equipment and during this time has produced excellent business results and worked tirelessly with his team in developing and growing Nike Golf’s club and equipment revenues. Last year his team achieved double-digit growth in tough market conditions across all categories.
Taking over from David is Manchester based Phil Fox who will immediately move into his new role as UK & Ireland category sales manager for hardware and equipment. Fox, 37, has been with Nike Golf since 2003, starting as a field sales representative and working his way up to national account manager overseeing relationships with American Golf, JJB, Sports Direct and Direct Golf.
“Both David and Phil are dedicated to the Nike Golf brand and have shown great leadership qualities and ambition to succeed which can only be of benefit to the brand and the sales team in the UK and Ireland,” said Green.
