Callaway Big Bertha Irons Tech Explained

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 17 May 2019

Big Bertha is an iconic name in the world of golf equipment, a long-standing jewel in the crown for Callaway. This year, the revered manufacturer has released its new Big Bertha Irons & Hybrids, which have designed with the needs of mid to high handicap golfers in mind, delivering an easier launch, longer and consistent distance; not to mention pleasing sound and feel.

This has been achieved through the introduction of Suspended Energy Core, aligned with a Metal Injection Molded (MIM’d) Tungsten Floating Weight suspended within Callaway’s Urethane Microsphere material. Explaining what this means, we met Dave Neville, Senior Director - Brand Management, Callaway Golf at their Carlsbad HQ to find out more about the new Callaway Big Bertha Irons & Hybrids and their innovative new technology.

PGA Pro and Golfshake Equipment Expert Ryan Rastall has also tested and reviewed the Big Bertha Irons for us, and you can see his thoughts on the performance of the clubs by clicking here
