One of the most anticipated new golf courses is set to open its doors, with the championship layout promising a fresh destination for golfers seeking a world-class experience in a spectacular coastal setting.

Earlier this year, we revealed that an exciting new golf destination was taking shape on Türkiye's spectacular Dalaman Coast. Now, that project has reached its next major milestone, with The Dalaman Golf Club confirming that it will officially open on August 30.

Managed by the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Golf, the new championship venue is located just 20 minutes from Dalaman International Airport and is expected to become one of the most significant additions to golf tourism in Türkiye for many years.

The course is the first to be built on the Dalaman Coast, expanding the country's golfing footprint beyond the established resorts around Belek. Designed by the International Design Group, the par-72 layout stretches to 6,728 yards from the championship tees and has been constructed on natural sandy soil with sustainability at the forefront of the project.

Set within one of southwest Türkiye's most scenic landscapes, the course is surrounded by beaches, lakes and protected natural habitats, with sweeping views across the Mediterranean. One of the standout holes promises to be the par-five 15th, where golfers will play from an elevated tee some 25 metres above the fairway, with a nature reserve on one side and a lake running along the other.

The opening marks an important moment for the Dalaman region, which has continued to grow in popularity as an international holiday destination over the past decade. The addition of championship golf is expected to broaden its appeal further while helping to extend the tourism season beyond the traditional summer months.

"Introducing championship golf at this stage is a natural evolution," said Umit Yasar Atalay, General Manager of Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Golf.

"Golf will help extend the tourism season, attract a new high-value visitor segment and create year-round economic benefits for the destination. We believe the timing is ideal to establish Dalaman as Türkiye's next major golf destination."

Away from the course itself, golfers will have access to a comprehensive range of practice and clubhouse facilities, including a 20-bay driving range with ten TrackMan Range-enabled bays, a dedicated short-game area, putting green, clubhouse, restaurant and halfway house.

The golf club sits alongside the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Golf, offering visitors the convenience of staying just moments from the first tee. The ultra-all-inclusive resort features a private beach, extensive leisure facilities and a wide selection of restaurants and bars, creating an attractive stay-and-play option for golfers looking to discover a new destination.

Atalay added: "From the beginning, our vision was to create a championship-level golf experience that would complement the destination and help extend the tourism season.

"Few destinations in the Mediterranean offer such a unique combination of natural assets. With the golf course located adjacent to and managed by Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Golf, guests will be able to enjoy a seamless experience between the course and the resort."

The Dalaman Golf Club is set to become one of the most anticipated new golf destinations in Europe, giving travelling golfers another compelling reason to visit Türkiye.
