Callaway Presents Rogue Iron Range for 2018

By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 18 Jan 2018

Callaway has been searching for innovative methods to elevate the performance levels of its golf clubs, and the result of that effort is the comprehensive Rogue Iron Range for 2018. Comprising of four models: Rogue, Pro, X, and W; the brand believes it has found the optimum combination of distance, accuracy, and playability from a Callaway Iron.

Each of the versions feature 360 Face Cup Technology and VFT (Variable Face Thickness), which expands the segment of the fact that is engineered to deliver faster ball speeds. Face Cup – a Callaway staple – utilises a shallow, flexible frame around the perimeter of the face that flexes and releases at impact to provide increased distance. VFT additionally promotes better results from off-centre hits, offering the yardage from a playable setup.

Rogue, Rogue Pro, and Rogue X boast Tungsten Weighting for Optimal Flight and Control. This allows Callaway to position the CG on each of the longer irons with marked precision, a factor that promotes improved launch and control from each loft. Rogue W – designed for golfers with slower swing speeds – does not possess this heavier metal, rather taking advantage of an ultra-light weight to assist those players with generating increased club head speed when swinging.

However, each of the Irons do share the commonality of Urethane Microspheres for Phenomenal Sound and Feel, which combats the potential excessive vibration that is created by thinner club faces, but crucially without compromising speed and performance.
