Review by Golfshake ambassador Mel Davies October 2017

The Green Sleeve is a unique, pocket sized ball and club cleaner with a microfiber cleaning centre to remove loose dirt, dry and polish golf balls and wedges.

What makes it different from a normal golf towel is you keep this in your pocket. It has been specially designed with a collar at each end that allows you to hold the sleeve comfortably and insert a ball or wedge to clean.

The Green Sleeve pocket golf towels were launched in November 2013 and are now on sale in the USA, Canada and the UK.

Tech Specs

Microfiber is an extremely fine fibre that is able to absorb more particles of dirt than any other fabric. It effectively removes all dirt and grass from your club and golf ball.

At about the size of an average mobile phone case, the Green Sleeve fits easily into your pocket. There are numerous colours and designs available and they even offer branded sleeves, with a company logo made with premium quality woven labels.

Green Sleeve Cleaning

The material has a nice soft feel to it and is easy and comfortable to hold and use.

The Green Sleeve does exactly what they say it does…it cleans your irons and balls with ease. During the wetter months, it is a very handy product that keeps your club head and ball clean.

It is a handy pocket sized accessory that really cleans the club head and ball well. I found it especially handy when I practiced my short game on the practice area, as it was easy to keep the club clean and grooves free from grass and dirt.

The only problem I encountered was when it fell out of my pocket while on the course, but this was put right by moving it to my other pocket away from my tees and ball marker.

The Bottom Line

The Green Sleeve is a really great and handy product that saves time having to go back to your bag to clean your club or ball. Priced from £7.99 for the plain sleeve up to £11.99 for the branded ones that also come with a ball marker, they are well priced in comparison to your standard golf towel.
