OUTENIQUA GOLF COURSE

Ranked number 16 in South Africa by Golf Digest.

Fancourt’s Outeniqua presents an 18-hole parkland layout that is tailored to provide a laid-back experience. The course provides for easier game play than its counterpart, the Montagu, while offering its fair share of challenges and water hazards and is pristinely conditioned to accommodate a large volume of players.

MONTAGU GOLF COURSE

Originally designed by Gary Player.

The Montagu course has developed into one of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the nation, earning it the number six position on Golf Digest SA’s list of top golf courses in the country.

Exquisitely conditioned to provide a riveting experience, this tree-lined course covers large tracts of varying terrain on rolling land.

THE LINKS

Sculpted into what Gary Player has described as his greatest feat as a course designer.

The Links is the jewel of the Fancourt estate. Featuring an undulating, windswept terrain and dune-style landscape, the course is the collaborative imagining of golf icon Gary Player, course designer Phil Jacobs and Fancourt’s owner, Dr Hasso Plattner.

Inspired by the famous links courses of the British Isles, The Links is currently rated number one in the country by Golf Digest South Africa and number 43 in Golf Digest US edition’s list of the worlds’ 100 greatest golf courses, which compared 464 courses from 18 countries around the globe. It has hosted some of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, including the Presidents Cup (2003), SA Open (2005) and 2012 Volvo Golf Champions on the European Tour.

Apart from its distinctive design, The Links has been lauded for its vital role in environmental sustainability and awarded a designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperation Sanctuary.
