Very Lavish but is it really worth £200+
Certainly see the difference in playing conditions but wide open fairways, expansive Bunkers and hugh greens. Almost but not quite a links course and greem much slower that the 1st two days. You get a lot of freebies but does it really warrant £200+ for a round.Reviewer Rating

Every Hole is enjoyable
Played Dumbarnie 19th October - an overcast and wet day, but thankfully for the first 17 holes it remained dry. Dumbarnie is a thoroughly enjoyable course, which offers forgiving fairways and generous well paced greens. For me every hole was enjoyable. Playing off the white tees with a 24 handicap was fair. The starter offers you a course guide, scorecard and selection of tees, ball marker and pencil in a plastic bag. It would have been nice to recieve in a branded bag. For me given the club house is not complete and the facilities are portacabins the price is still slightly on the steep side. However give this course a couple of years to mature and have everything sorted it will definitely be worth the money.
Course was in great knick for one so young, and would definitely come back in a few years to try again once it has bedded in.

A Modern Classic in The Making
Dumbarnie is a fabulous addition to Scotland's golf landscape; an intricately designed layout that makes the absolute most of its magnificent setting to deliver incredible views but also a smart challenge for players, requiring strategy and presenting options with shot selection.Akin to other modern coastal designs, like Kingsbarns and Castle Stuart, Dumbarnie will grow into a major favourite among international visitors and those closer to home.
It's still a little rough around the edges, which is to be expected given it's little over two year's old, but I believe once fully embedded, it has the potential to surpass those aforementioned destinations as a true contemporary classic.
The presentation at the clubhouse and range is first-class and sets the tone for the experience. Dumbarnie really is very, very good.

Exceptional
A fantastic links course. Great service from the moment you arrive at theclub. The little shot of whisky on the 1st tee was a really nice touch. The course was in fantastic condition, though the greens were slightly slower than I'd have liked.Reviewer Rating

Wonderful early morning visit
We were the first players on the course that was bathed in sunshine and resplendent in shadows as it was almost dawn. This course is simply magnificent. It is hard to beehive it is only two years old. It sits in an enviable position providing views of the seas and coast on most holes. Played in balmy sunshine with little wind I would love to return and attempt its challenges in harsher weather. The short holes are excellent and a real challenge from all tee boxes.an ability to shape a ball for the other tee shots is an advantage as there are some decent carries and the rough , if found, can be penal. this is afabulosu avenue that I will definite;y return to at some point as it simply scratched the surface on one playing of its superb location, conditioning and styling. the service fro staff throughout was that of the highest quality american country clubs. Genuinely a great experience.Reviewer Rating

Exudes Excellence
Dumbarnie quite simply ranks up there with the best and certainly shows what you can do if you have the right location and the right amount of money to build and develop a new course. The design, layout, conditions, views and venue are first class and you are unlikely to be disappointed if you play here. Each hole is carefully crafted into the landscape with fairways seemingly framed by nature but the beauty you see on every hole when standing on the tee box is actually a challenge lying there waiting for you. As with most courses, keep it on the fairway and the course is favourable but if you do stray then expect the course to bite you.
If you enjoy taking photos whilst playing you will probably never stop. Every hole offers something different, is well designed and picture perfect and the layout of the course, whilst reletively flat, finds you meandering from hole to hole with very little opportunity to see where you have been or where you are going next - something that appeals to many.
We played in Summer 2022 and the course was in excellent condition and the greens were slowly coming back after some recent maintenance work following some documented issues due to overuse. They in no way detracted from our round and still ran true, albeit slightly slower, and you could clearly see what they will be like once back to their best.
If you get the opportunity to play here then jump at it. It comes with a price but you do get what you pay for the the welcome and facilities are first class - who doesn't love an open air range with ball pyramids set-up for !

Stunning
The layout at Dumbarnie is quite simplay fantastic. The different tee boxes allows you to be able to have a real fun round of golf. With some drivable par 4's and some cracking par 3's, length wise - the course could be as hard as you want it to be.Some of the views are superb and the way the holes sit in the dunes is such clever design.
The greens are getting close after a really tough winter, not at their best but it really wont be long.

Must play course.
What an amazing course. Great layout, wonderful views. Just brilliant. There are no instances of hole "Crossovers" or any hole being close enough to another to have any "Four" calls etc. Really good use of the space.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 99 Handicap: 12.2)

Brilliant Course
An absolute gem of a course for only being 1 year old. All aspects of the course are in perfect condition and every hole is in a different direction and unique. Fantastic views across the Forth and a must play for everyone. Wide range of tees to cater for all level of golfers with some challenging risk/ reward Par 4's with split fairways. I rate it higher than the surrounding Kingsbarns and St Andrews courses (including the Old Course). The staff are so friendly and helpful which makes the experience all the better. Highly recommended.Reviewer Rating
