Overpriced and not the best golf course in the Caribbean
Not particularly friendly. Greens were well maintained and the layout is challenging (especially during the windy weather we had), but signposting is poor for both the first and later tees and becomes very frustrating. Tee areas on the red tees were often extremely uneven. The carts are not fitted with any GPS screens. Although ice is provided in the ice buckets, there is no complimentary water, which we found amazing for such an expensive course. The plus side is that the expense means there are few other players, so the pace of play was good.The clubhouse was closed for renovation at the time of our visit, so nowhere to enjoy a post-round drink if you are not a Sandals resident. It was surprising not to be offered the chance to have a drink in the Sandals bar instead.
Rental clubs were in good condition.
Overall, we weren't impressed and given that this course claims to be the best in the Caribbean, if this had been our first experience of playing one, we would probably not bother playing one again. We played the Blue Bay course a couple of days later and enjoyed it much more.

Not as good as the hype
billed as the best course in the caribbean when we went (by someone or other: presumably marketing) it wasnt even as good as Blue Bay on the other side of the capital....Reviewer Rating
