What the club says: Maintained to a high standard, the 10-hole course has wide, open fairways and large greens to encourage the novice but also has features to challenge even the most experienced golfer such as the 285yd par 4 with its 60 yd lake tee shot, river crossing and undulating green. Turned up today (Sunday) for a game & padlocked up!

Hidden Gem
Very good course for the money. Long and challenging holes for every player! Especially the 2nd Hole.

Course didn't feel like it had been open very long. No fairways were cut, was like playing in a field (semi rough as 'fairways'), lost balls even when driving straight up the middle. Greens were very soft and bobbly (mostly due to no one repairing their pitch marks...). Honesty box, £10 for 10 holes pay

Good value at £9 for 10 holes.
Two tees were poor: a mat on the 4th and another with more stones than grass, but with the ball teed up that doesn't really matter.
The fairways were wet, holding much more water than other local courses, but we just played preferred lies. There are some challenging shots across the tree lined River Conder on holes 3, 4 and 5 and a great view from the 8th green.
We didn't get in any bunkers, but they were a bit of a joke: tiny, shallow and with most of the sand washed out, but who plays a course for the bunkers?
The greens were true, fairly flat and rather slow.
The clubhouse is still under construction and the place seems to be run on a shoestring e.g. an honesty box to collect the green fees on a Sunday morning.
I would recommend this course for juniors who have had some lessons and can hit at least 150yds, and we saw several other father and son groups.
