this is bthe second time we have palyed here in a month and it is an enjoyable experience however part of the day out is to have a pint and some food. the pint was avialable but the caterers had "gone home" at 2.30pm. Very disappointing considering the course was very busy with players all no doubt expecting to be able to eat on their return

Good practice course for a novice, rather than the driving range.
Difficult to navigate around no hole markers and directions poor.
Tee areas really poor in places, especially the 9th.
Greens in decent condition.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

As stated, the tees and the greens are not the best and during wet weather the course can become waterlogged but it's a good course for those wanting to practice all shots. There is ample free parking in the park, the staff in the cash office are friendly and toilets are clean. No facility for drinks but there is a Macdonalds opposite the park if you need warming up after the round.

Hole 7 is my nightmare!

Tees are not great, the greens are not great but for £4.90 for 9 holes to practice on its ok. Hole 7 is my favourite hole on any of the few courses I've played on so far, a beastly 311 par 4 up hill, it takes me 3 to just get close to the bunkers.
Give it a try but don't expect any frills, there are clean toilets and that's it. The guy behind the counter was friendly enough and has time to talk to you which is always welcome.

9 hole municpal golf course, however pitch an putt probably sums it up better. £4.10 is good value. I only play this course as it is local, I normally go by myself and treat it as practice as more interesting than the range. Never really busy so can play with 2 or 3 balls and jsut practice shots. 4/10
