Average course
Tees and fairways in pretty good condition. Bunkers haven't seen new sand for quite some time. Almost all the greens are in very poor condition, not sure they've seen any care other than mowing.Reviewer Rating

Played the Par 3 at Dunton as a bit of chipping practice. The greens were very hard, but to be expected given the weather. The good sport that I am I even donated a couple of balls to the lake.

So much potential
This golf course could be so good, it’s set in beautiful rolling countryside with distant views of the City of London, Has a 18 hole main course, 18 hole par 3, driving range with pro tuition facilities, clubhouse and crazy golf.However the clubhouse is closed and the main course is appalling, the T boxes are awful and the greens are unplayable if all the moss and weeds were eradicated there would only be mud left and the fairways aren’t much better.
You can really tell that there’s a complete lack of investment and interest from the owners and the green keepers and staff are fighting a losing battle.
But like I mentioned with investment this as the potential to be an amazing golf course.

First timer at Dunton Hills
Played the main course yesterday. The no booking thing kinda works, and there is almost a relaxed vibe on the course, just leave a holes distance on the first tee and you're good to go. The winter tees are better than most places, the fairways were dry, but slightly too long grass is places. The greens were also dry and in good condition. Course in reasonable condition, fairways could do with a cut but, i guess iot has been very wet. Greens in good condition, compared to summer when overplayed.

A really decent course considering it is a pay and play, some really tricky holes.Fairways in good condition, the rough is very rough!!! The only let down are the greens, but not sure what you should expect for a pay and play.
Staff always friendly, its a shame there arent better facilities. All in all good value for money.

Good course but too many slow players
Always a good course but greens need better attention and are always left a little long compared with other courses. The clubhouse bar has still not been re opened and still can't get cooked food, just crisps and choco bars etc.Reviewer Rating

Great value
Don't expect quality greens here but??. Expect great value for money and somewhere you can just turn up and play. Bunkers seem to be nice soft sand. No grass cutting s left which has been an issue in the past.Reviewer Rating

Up the hill and back down again
Simple layout of uphill holes 1-5 and back down to the clubhouse at the 9th green. Holes 10-14 uphill then back down on steeply sloping 15, then water hazards at 16-18 back to the clubhouse. Interesting all the way with back 9 more difficult because of obstructing hedges and the water hazards on the closing holes.Reviewer Rating

Poor greens

As always Dunton Hills is a pleasure to play, always offering challenges due to wind conditions and pin locations, the fairways are a little hard and the greens need better upkeep but it is a public course but that doesn't take away the ability to shoot a good score.
