What The Club Says

Club Golf d'Aro - Mas Nou - is one of the oldest golf courses of the Costa Brava (Platja d'Aro) is situated in the Natural parck of "Les Gaverres", at 300m above sea level with spectacular panoramic views of the famous Costa Brava (both sea and Les Gavarres monuntains).
The course is a woodland course, surrounded by pines, cork oaks and more than a thousand olive trees.
Two artificial lakes (2600 m3) complete the unique course charm.

Par 3

The Par 3 is 2 x 9, and quite hilly and challenging compared with the other Par 3 courses nearby. Great views

Golf club hire is extortionate at €15 for a half set (The round is only €17 for over 50s). God knows what they would charge for a full set on the big boys course. Other Par 3 courses charge around €2 for clubs
I say no to playing it again only because of the club hire. It is the most fun par 3 otherwise, but €32 for a pitch and putt is a bit painful.

Disappointing

The course has gone dramatically downhill in the last 6 months. Its the most expensive course in the area, but the greens and fairways are in a terrible state

Commonly known as Mas Nou, a mountain course not for the weak of heart, and certainly not without a buggy, for instance it is a 5 minute drive uphill from the club house to the first tee.
A really beautiful course, with plenty of hazards, and tight fairways with revines to lose your balls down. The first 9 holes are basically up hill, and bear in mind you seem to start at a top of a mountain anyway, with the back down downhill - of sort. well worth a visit.
