Played the course this week , very disappointed with the condition
of the course , just after a European tour event. Fringes woeful, bunkers poor, played 4 other oceanica courses in the week these were the poorest greens .
If you want to play a top course in the area play the oceanica Faldo , absolutely superb

a very well designed course with a shed load of water on the back nine. it may be a european tour event venue but for me not worth the £130 a round not in a million years all the holes look amazing on the tee but fairways and greens need alot of work i would choose the old course every time over this but for me one to miss the green fee is just to high

Played during the last weekend before the course closed to be prepared for the Portuguese Open. The greens had been hollow tined and parts of the course were in a poor condition. However, the facilities are excellent and the course is very interesting to play. Worth the money even though it is quite expensive.

An imposing clubhouse with all the facilities as you would expect from a course which normally hosts the Portuguese Open. There has been a slight drop in standards ( the practice range used to supply free balls, for example). As a tournament course, the greens and their approaches are tricky, and there is quite a lot of water. That said a lovely course to play, but don't expect to beat your handicap.

Generally in pretty good condition although a bit tired looking around the edges, but the main elements ie greens, fairways and tee boxes are good. Note my evaluation of VFM is based on it being free for 10 rounds to DP subscribers during June

Fantastic course. They are just preparing for the Portuguese Masters so in great conditions in most places. They are growing the rough so you needed to be on the fairway

Had a nice round here. Paired up with another two ball. Stewards asked us to speed up at one point or let the group behind through, even though the group ahead were still on the green. Tricky back 9, course in good condition, boggy in quite a few places. I think it was quite a bit overpriced, but I guess they can charge what they want here, and still be fully booked. Would certainly play again, but would chose the Pinhal over this course any day.

3 weeks before the Portugal masters I played the course with 2 friends and had a great experience. Greens were very slow disappointingly obviously to protect the course however reviews of n the 2 9's are spot on.
Front nine challenging with some nice holes back 9 is a beast if into a head wind with some beautiful holes. Plenty of water is needed in the summer and fairways definitely need to be hit!!!!!
