This is an interesting and enjoyable course to play due to the layout. Unfortunately it is spoilt by poor maintenance. The greens and tees are just shocking and nobody seems to care. The bunkers are solid with just the very top raked. These need digging out to get them back to a playable condition. The greens and tees will need serious maintenance work to bring these back to a good playable condition.

bad condition and rude staff

Scruffy tee boxes, greens with fungus and bare patches; Champion course ? More like pitch and putt. The practice ground is abysmal, and no driving range. Buggy bar refuses to serve coffee in summer.
Go to Espiche for proper golf, pleasant staff, and good food. Oh, and cheaper !

A real let down.

What was once a gem seems to have been neglected. Lack of rain and deteriorating greens is one thing. Neglected tee boxes and litter is not in keeping with a premium course - this is no longer a premium course.

was a great course

irrigation is shot
Tee boxes scruffy
greens not true
i have played this course since it opened. this is the worse it has been - possibly overused as it is a Resort Course. management need to concentrate on the course and not just building Villas. will start to loose Members at this rate. Wake up !!!

driving range was closed every day

We stayed there for 4 days; the driving range was closed every day. At 85 euros a round that is not acceptable. They allow young kids with parents on the course; 5 hour rounds.
Espiche and Palmares are worth every penny. Forget Boavista.

A nice course with good facilities but holes are surrounded by holiday villas and homes which is a pity.

Good challenge

Interesting layout with water and the number of blind shots making it a challenge despite some short holes. Bunkers raked daily but absolutely rock hard.

The course is starting to look a little tired as the management seem to be concentrating on house building and not paying attention to the course or it's members.

Built into the side of a hill surrounded by a housing development. A bit mickey mouse (e.g. a fake Swilcan bridge!). Front 9 is relatively easy - lots of short par 4s with many blind shots. Back 9 a lot trickier especially with the wind. Some nice par 3s with long carries. 16th is best hole - a big downhill Par 5. Some nice views from the top of the hill. 60€ incl. buggy

A very interesting course, with quite a lot of blind shots. Not a course you would like to walk in the heat, a long way between some holes. Very hilly, some holes have quite a high gradient tee-to-green. Not very long, but doesn't play short; as driver is not always best from the tee. Would play again, a great test of golf.

Very nice course. Front 9 is a little annoying hitting over some blind hills etc, however the back 9 is really great. Challenging pictoresque holes with some water and oustanding views. Def would hire buggy as some long distance in between holes. Greens fast and consistant when played and clubhouse is nice. Def play this over Parque de Floresta (which is a stupid crazy golf course built on the side of a hill!). Another option is Onyria Palmares nearby - a fantastic course..

A bit of a disappointment having heard so many good things about this course. The front 9 has too many blind holes and although things improve in terms of great views on the back 9, one gets the impression that this course is trading more on reputation than anything else. Without a buggy you are left to walk (or stagger) some ridiculous distances to find the next tee and they've even had to chisel out kerbstones to allow trolleys on to the grass - it was clearly designed for buggys only and is not a very pleasant, or easy, walking course.
The pro shop and restaurant are expensive and I will be spending my money (€76) elsewhere if I return.
