Great Course!!

What a great course! some tough holes but all of them rewarding if you're playing well. Fantastic receptive greens which run true and consistently in terms of pace.

Great course, in a great location

I would love to play this course every day. Good mix of challenging holes, to holes where you need to be creative, to holes that give you a chance. More than a few holes that could be considered "signature".

Stay at the local Sugar Beach resort and get unlimited game time. Just remember to bring your clubs. The rental Taylormades were great, but expensive.

What a wonderful place for a first experience of golf in Mauritius. Played here first as staying in Flic en Flac, which is about 15-20 minutes by car from this estate. The drive in from the entrance isn’t a short one with many private villas either side of the road which builds the anticipation ahead of arriving at the main golf reception. The top rate hospitality really starts there and is maintained throughout the visit, the caddy master takes your clubs and gets your cart ready whilst you go in and sign in with the staff in the pro shop. Then drive to a range/practice area that has a full length range, 2 putting greens and a short game green with a bunker. A range token is 200 rupees (£3.50) for 45 balls and you have a choice of shaded range bays or grass to hit off. A course marshall greeted us on the first tee asking if we’d like to preorder any drinks or food which he would later bring to us, he ended up delivering them around the 5th/6th hole. The course was in excellent condition overall with greens running quickly which I prefer. There are a few split fairways which require you to strategise and for me the signature hole was the par 3 13th which from the black tees was 180m with the green set some way below you with the river running down the left side of the hole it’s all very picturesque! You’re regularly passed by marshalls just checking in to make sure you have all you need and this great hospitality is continued once you arrive back at the clubhouse to enjoy a well earned drink. It’s not a course you could walk easily so I certainly recommend a buggy. The cost was 5500 rupees for the 18 holes and 2000 rupees for the cart (which you could share between 2 of course) and including the range token for 200 rupees, you’re in for 7700 rupees which was about £130. Golf on the island is expensive so overall the value for money is very good locally but it may be a tad prohibitive if you’re looking to play a lot and that’s the only reason it wasn’t given excellent in that category too. Would absolutely recommend and I would definitely play it again, hope that helps anyone thinking of playing here anytime soon!

Golf doesn’t get much better than this: this resort course has everything you could wish for. The course is very interesting, 6077m or 6552 m (men's) depending on tee choice, & is immaculate in every way, with incredible scenery.
Pretty expensive though at 90 Euros for 18 holes + 40 Euros for a golf cart. Walking with a trolley is possible, if not exactly encouraged. They will ask what your handicap is, although I’ve not been asked to produce a certificate yet.
WELL worth it if you can stomach the price….
