Nice friendly parkland course situated just off the east coast on the wood Thorpe caravan park
the course and facilities are a must for anyone playing in the area and it is a course not to be missed for the high handicapper
The course at the moment is undergoing some ground works but still very playable and all greens and fair ways are well looked after
all in all good course good facilities and nice food in the bar

Very good valure for money. Slightly wet in places and greens being worked on day of visit but for £12.50 you can't go wrong. It's a fairly short course but still offers enough of a challenge to want to go back for another carack at it.

worth every penny, not championship standard but better than you'd expect for a camping and leisure park course.

Much better course in the spring and summer months, nevertheless very challenging with fairly narrow fairways and some difficult greens. The 15th is a big problem for short hitters but most will be on in three. All the dog-legs are to the left, so slicers' will be in trouble...good value for money all round.

This course represents excellent value for money, it's a good enough course that can be challenging off the whites but is generally forgiving .... With good quality greens..... ( for the price) ... At £12.50 for a midweek round and £15.50 for a weekend round it represents excellent value and you can forgive it for a few lack of refinements.... It also has a fantastic driving range with automatic tees .... Enjoy the long 586 yard par 5 ....

nice open and forgiving parkland course
but can be tight in places
if the course is to be played from the white tees the course takes on a totally new concept and trees and hazards come more into play and tee boxs become tighter
overall facilities are good with nice restaurant and club house

I played this course with my father in law, last Friday. Now we are not big budget spenders. However, we payed £12 and felt like we had struck gold. value for money was great. the greens were like carpets and the fairways were very forgiving. it did not matter if you sliced it, the chances were that you would find the ball and have a good chance of getting back on track. It did not punish you. To cut a long story short, i fully recommend it and intend to travel there again at the end of the month.

Mr p ward

First round golf for six months so woodthorpe ideal as not the longest and not the most difficult so completely fitted my situation just think all courses have got rather greedy with green fees but cant see that ever changing.

Only gave it poor in the course conditions section, eventhough the course itself is kept very nice, the conditions of the bunkers is shocking. It hasn't rained for about 5 days, yet the bunkers were just solid sand. Stood in one and I couldn't tell I had been in it at all. Trying to play a shot out of one was impossible. Played on this course quite a few times and people see your catching them, just me in a buggy, three people walking just carry on and don't let you through, this has happened to me on here loads of times.
