What The Club Says
Winter Hill is a truly magnificent golf club owned and managed by the John Lewis Partnership.
The golf club was the dream child of John Spedan Lewis, the founder of the Partnership. Discovering Winter Hill for the first time is like uncovering a hidden treasure. Built on fast-draining terrain, it boasts exceptional views over Cookham, the River Thames and the famous Cliveden.
Played at its longest, the course is 6,364 yards in length with a par of 72. From the ladies' tee the course is 5,761 yards, par 73. There is also a practice area and a putting green available for those wishing to brush up on their skills and two fully qualified PGA golf professionals are on hand to book lessons and give expert advice.

Good Course... but VERY slow

Great for time of year

Always a pleasure to play
Nice course, playing very well despite the weather conditions. Greens running fast in the wet, fairways recovering well from the summer. Bunker sand wet and heavy to day (unsurprisingly!)The rough starting to get a bit long and therefore very easy to lose balls. But always a nice course to play

Stunning Views
Apart from being a well laid out and interesting course, the views over the Thames at Bourne End are fabulous. Hospitality is great too with Full English being spot on.Reviewer Rating
