What the club says: Stunning par 72, 18 hole golf course, often described as the best parkland golf course in North Devon. The course is a tough test off the competition tees, yet the day tee's offer the all the visual impact, whilst allowing the visiting golfer a more relaxed game

Willingcott Valley was closed earlier this year and some of it has already been auctioned off for farmland - no liklehood of re-opening

play here a lot. weather was the only down point today. 35km winds do not make for an easy round

Played this course twice now , enjoyed both times , great holes and some very challenging ones too , great condition and greens are excellent , the only thing we would say is it's very hilly in parts so take plenty of water ????

21/2/14 The course was in remarkable condition considering the rainfall we have had this year.
Most tees were from the matts but no a problem. All fairways were firm and no standing water.
Greens were mostly firm with only the odd wet area.
The backdrop of this golf course is beautiful. You can see the rolling hills of Devon.
The price was very good as I played with a member only £10 for 18 holes.
The staff and friendly and helpful as are the locals.
I will return later this year to hopefully play in the sunshine !!!!

Apparently the course has been grass bare for the past 6 weeks due to the sun and the sprinkler system not working so they have done a good job getting some grass back on the greens.
Some very nice holes and testing over some water hazards.
Greens played slow but that is understandable.
Fairways had a cut but all the cuttings were left on the fairways.
Not a bad place for the price. 30/8/13

Great course with fantastic views from every hole. Stunning scenery nearly makes you forget your playing golf.
Greens played well and true. Rain made them nice and soft. Worth a visit for any golfer.
Will be playing there again on my next holiday but I think I may get a buggy !!!!

For some reason I found the course really sapping. Power cart or buggy recommended. Alot of up and down hill. A few interesting holes like but dont know why, I just didnt enjoy the course. Bit wet in places and the greens were really slow. Very exposed if theres a bit of wind.

Entertaining young course spread over two valleys a few mils from the North Devon coast. Some interesting challenges and lots of water.

This course starts with a daunting tee shot with out of bounds to the left and huge downslope to the left and a very thin sloping fairway straight ahead. Not an easy starting hole, but certainly an interesting one.

In general I was impressed with the course. Some great par 3s over water - the 10th was a favourite, 120 yards over a lake to an island green. The 18th is a difficulty par 5 with very little room for error from the tee or the second shot.

A course in great condition, with some testing holes and great scenery. Would go back there if in the area again.

The course tries its best and uses the ground well to give some variety. I only played the 1st none and felt 5 thru 9 were basically playing up and down a large filed. The first 4 were more interesting but the sloping fairways often made a bad ball good.
