Founded in 1916, West Kent is a well established and highly respected private members' club. Located in an attractive rural setting between Downe Village and Down House, our continued success has been achieved by upholding golf's best traditions of etiquette, courtesy and friendship.

Beautiful Course
Played on a baking hot day. Course in excellent condition, and beautiful surroundings. You'd never know you're 15 miles from Central London - so peaceful and tranquil (with the occasional plane taking off from Biggin Hill airport).A few greens have strange markings on them but it didn't affect speed or line. A couple of members said they had a lot of work carried out on them earlier this year, but they seem to be recovering very well.
£80 green fees aren't cheap, but the course was quiet so we had an unhurried round with no problems at all.
The layout is just tricky enough to keep it interesting and reward accurate shots, without being too difficult to enjoy.

M&G golf day
Testing course, greens very tough, really well laid out and have lots of hills. Really well set out a great course that looks so possible to master but a really tough course.Reviewer Rating

Great Course
Great course with plenty of undulating lies. Course was in good condition given the greens are being prepared for the summer. Staff in the clubhouse and Pro Shop were very helpful and welcoming. Still a few old attitudes exist with members. Two of our group were reminded to tuck their polo shirts in their shorts. Not as good as I’d hoped
Not a bad course but not one I’d rush back to play . I enjoyed the elevated start on the 1st and the last couple of holes look very nice underneath the clubhouse but for the main part quite dull . The greens are ok but not as good as others I’ve played and fairways had some bare areas and some of the tee boxes are very messy . Whole place is ok but feels like it could be betterReviewer Rating

Good nick for the time of year
Green running really well, thankful course had been closed since Weds as meant we were lucky enough to get it untrodded. Also lovely lady at the halfway house
