What the club says: Wellow Golf Club is a family owned business opened its doors in 1991. Since then the 200 acres of picturesque parkland surrounding Embley Park the former family home of Florence Nightingale, as come on leaps and bounds.
Although still only a relatively young course, Wellow boasts three unique, full 9 hole courses set in historic parkland.
Visitors are welcome to play 9, 18 or 27 holes. Available for non-members. Our combination of an excellent location just off of the M27, superbly maintained and easy to walk golf course, paired with fine food, will ensure of a memorable time here at our golf club.

Three loops of nine
Good condition with a firm bounce due to the lack of rainGreens were in very good condition and fairways very good also
Ideal for seniors especially the Ryecroft and Embley nines.

Hadn't played here in a couple of years. Course was in good condition. Played the Ryedown and Blackwater 9's, the latter of which I hadn't prevously seen. Both were decent and a good challenge and the lack of length is deceptive here. Nice meal in clubhouse afterwards. Will come back at some point.

Never played here before. Played the 2 main 9's (Ryedown/Embley). Interesting course. Various ditches and some other hazards knocking about so useful to have played it before which was an advantage I didn't have so struggled on a few holes for that reason. Also helps if you don't go long left OOB on the first... Sand in bunkers was a bit random but otherwise the course was in good condition. Greens were a bit furry but played well enough. I'll go back at some point and play it again.

All 3 courses played very well considering the weather on the day and the weather we’ve had the previous week or so. Greens were very soft, as you would expect. Everyone there was very accommodating and it was a great atmosphere. The food was great, couldn’t ask for anything better all day.

Friendly , homely.
A lovely flat course , 3 different 9-hole courses. All slightly different. My only criticism would be the rough is very punishable this time of year. Effectively if you go in it your generally not finding your ball. Greens always excellent condition and run true.Reviewer Rating

Staff ( Neil and Danny) really friendly. The course was in good condition, especially considering the summer we have had. But the greens are definitely the best around. Lovely day out there. We played Ryedown/ Blackwater.
