Visited in December. Have always found this a great winter course but it was more like building site with so many bunkers out of play. The greens seemed very soft compared to other winters that I have visited.

Played here for the first time in three years. While the course has always been in good condition the bunkers were horrendous!!! Absolutely no sand in any that I was unfortunate enough to find myself in. Shame because everything else was Fab.

I had a nightmare in the bunkers. The bunkers had next to no sand in them and are full of stones. I found nearly every one of them and damaged my sand iron. Explained this in the pro shop and was told they had received many similar complaints.

Our society were all very disappointed with every tee being an astroturf mat (difficult to get tee in), and all greens being in play but roped off upto 30 to 40 yards short and wide. Taking 3 clubs 50 yards from your trolley towards the green was the norm. The course was dry, the conditions were dry, but we were not told of these restrictions. On complaining was just fobbed off with "we'll bear it in mind to actually tell people in future". A good course presented awfully, and every society member complained. This is the first bad review we have ever written. Avoid this course, unless its June/ July !!

Ok but not special

Not a bad course but not as good as the locals seem to think. Quite up & down with various slopes. The members seem to think this makes it Augusta,,,,, but in truth more Blackpool Pleasure beach. Worth a visit - once

Played here three weeks ago. Very disappointed about the number of winter mats on a course that reckons to be the best in Warrington. Played after a few dry days but found greens to be very soft. We picked this course after viewing pictures of the greens on the clubs Twitter page. These turned out to be very misleading.

Warrington GC

Played today in a society game. Despite the horrendous wet weather today. And the amount of rain over the last month, the course was in very good condition.
Can't wait to go back

Well maintained, great views.

Played here several times before. Nice facilities, well kept course with great views from the tops. Can be challenging in the wind with some narrow fairways. Recommend.

Always well maintained and not trampled

great course flows well, greens great condition and tricky with very subtle falls, makes it a tough challenge.

Improving course with great ?19th hole? facilities

I am a Pay and Play member here and since the new owners took over the course in 2015 the improvements have been fantastic. Course is improving all the time and although there is no par 5?s, there are still some tough holes.
If you don't play regular enough to warrant a full membership, a round costs at most ?18 with regular twilight offers etc. My membership still provides a CONGU handicap at ?50 per year with a discounted round fee. Great value for my circumstances.
The restaurant, sports bar and club shop are great including the staff. Hidden gem for food and golfers on a budget.
