What The Club Says
The course was founded in 1889 and two years later moved to the present location within Sutton Park. The Park is one of our country's Recognised Historic Parks and Gardens and also has National Nature Reserve status.

Evening Golf
Teed off at Sutton Coldfield Golf Club on a Tuesday evening after an hour of rain — perfect timing as it softened the greens, which had recently been sanded. The fairways were a little bare in places after weeks of warm weather, but the course still played beautifully, exactly as a parkland course should. The greens weren’t quite as fast as usual due to the sanding, but still rolled well. Unusually, we came across several cows wandering by the fairways, which added a quirky twist to the round! The course was quiet, almost like millionaire’s golf, and we got round in a prompt 3 hours 30. All in all, a very enjoyable evening of golf.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course
I received a voucher as a present which gave me chance to play the course. Firm fairways and greens mean you get the benefit of extra run on the course but make sure you get some green practice before you go out - they are quick!!Reviewer Rating

My experience at the Sutton Coldfield Golf Club was great. The course was in good condition, fairways were manicured nicely, and the greens were consistent and rolled true. The sand traps were perfectly raked and a pleasure to play from. The dryness didn't affect playability as the greens still held the ball nicely. Of course, the bar facilities were above par with a generous selection of beverages at reasonable prices. All in all, a great experience and a course I would highly recommend to others.
