The greens were in excellent condition, similar standard is needed on fairways and tee boxes. None of the ball washers had any water or cleaning fluid in them.

Play here regularly. Overall in good condition. Like all courses I play on the Bunkers are always a problem. No sand or compacted with lack of maintenance.

They are getting there

Stevenage golf club offers a challenge to all handicaps none of the holes are straight up and down as on some course
Since taken over by Everyone Active they have made great strides in improving the course and facilities.
Lined with mature trees and streams and ditches to cross you need to play strategic golf certain holes have trees placed cleverly in the centre of fairways large oaks narrow your drive options.
The greens are now running true some more tricky than others no tips I?ll let you discover which.
If you like to warm up before your round there is an excellent driving range with trackman in stalled on all bays a chipping area and of course a practice putting green. There is a well stocked pro shop and staff are friendly and helpful. If you fancy a drink and a bite to eat the clubhouse has a varied menu to choose from and the staff always have a smile for everyone. Societies can play here and this is an enjoyable day out

Good condition

Played as a three ball on a Sunday afternoon, it was very busy.
Course played well, fairways and greens were in excellent condition, and plenty of moving water in the hazards. Far too many of the tee boxes were in a poor condition, I think there needs to be some investment there.
A good selection of challenging holes, good choice of pin positions, on this day. Would definitely recommend trying Stevenage out, if you are looking for somewhere new to try, and it was a very reasonable price too.

Welcome surprise

A great course considering it is pay & play - the fairways and greens in excellent condition the day we visited, although some longish grass on the fairways which were being own throughout the day, and some tees could do with some work to improve. Some bunkers GUR, and others in play with packed sand, not unusual, following recent weather. But definitely worth a visit, some tricky holes to play

Best It's Been In Years

I rarely play the course eventhough I live in the area. However, I played today the course is in the best condition it's ever been in, in my opinion. A lot of money and effort has been invested by its new operators (Everyone Active), the greens are excellent and you can really see the effort that's been put in. Looking forward to playing there again.
