The course is a nice distance for a high handicap with good fairways and bunkers greens are a bit bumpy so that was a bit off a let down it has some lovely views off the parks and wood land round about and the club house was good with golf pro there to help if you wanted it(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: )

Small and Quirky
When playing Seafield undoubtedly comparisons will be made to the neighbouring Belleisle course but Seafield has enough character that it stands out on its own. There’s 10 parkland holes designed by Braid which are short, quirky, narrow and downright testing. Then in the middle of the round there’s 8 additional holes that were added when the old racetrack became available, they play like links, longer, wider. An ideal course for the shorter hitter with a premium on accuracy. As with any council course, conditions can be suspect in places and some money spent would make a big difference but would also push up the green fees which on the whole represent value.Reviewer Rating

First tee not easily found. General condition of the course was average. Several tees in poor condition. Greens mostly acceptable.
A short course with a few nice holes. Watch out for slow play. 2 ball in front of were exceptionally slow. Indeed caught up with them about 3/4 times. I each occasion they didn’t offer to let me through. Learn some etiquette fellas.
In conclusion I’ll not play here again. There’s much better courses at the Troon links and Girvan.

Water hazards feature on the 2nd, 3rd, 15th, 16th and 17th holes.
Greens are well maintained as are the many bunkers. Fairways are generous in width, although heavy rough can punish wayward shots especially over the links section.
Seafield is a popular course with fairly heavy use but start times are usually available. Not a long course but one which provides a good day out.

Short but Sweet
Seafield is a short course near the sea. It has some parkland holes and also a lovely links section. The greens were in fine nick and the bunkering has been improved this season. It is a good challenge for mid / high handicappers , as you can reach greens in regulation. For a municipal course, it offers good quality and good value for money.Reviewer Rating
