What The Club Says
Rye Hill Golf Club is a traditional parkland course, with heath land features and panoramic views. As a EuroPro Tour venue, it is testimony to the high calibre of this championship 6,904 yd par 72 course.
Benefiting from free drainage, the course is playable in the wettest of weather and trolleys
can be used all year. It will test the abilities of both high and low handicappers with its
strategically placed bunkers to catch wayward shots and the often large and undulated
greens.

The owners are a friendly couple and welcome all.
Below is the description given on the clubs Booking App.
HOLES 1 TO 18 OPEN
AVERAGE WEEKEND PACE OF PLAY: 4hrs 30MINS
Booking Terms & Conditions (With a Smile):
PRACTICE FACILITIES:
No Driving range but our 3-Hole Par 3 Academy course is just ?7.50 to
sharpen your short game. Or a quick pre-round tune-up for ?5 - cheaper than
a lost ball!
FOOD & DRINK
Fancy a brew? Weve got Lavazza coffee ready at the machine and chilled
bottled drinks in the pro shop.
Draft beer? No - bottled beers only
. Though the kitchens closed, fear not as snacks are available at the proshop or the Horse &
Groom Pub is less than a mile away and always happy to feed a hungry
golfer. There is also Red Lion in Bloxham or Gate Hangs High in Hook
Norton.
Unfortunately, your lovely dogs (even on a lead) are not allowed on the
course.
At Rye Hill, we welcome golfers of all swings and skill levels.
With our green fees range from ?20?28 during peak times - which we think
it's a pretty fair deal for north Cotswolds fresh air, fairways, and a good
walk (spoiled or not).
That said, if youre EXPECTING the manicured perfection of Woburn with its
world class dining and spa facilities we politely suggest to maybe book
Woburn. We're good, but we're ?20 not ?200 per round good.
Happy to still tee it up with us at Rye Hill?
Yay! Book Online or call 01295 721 818 and we will be happy to book you in.
If not, Feldon Valley, Cotswolds Club, Heythrop, Tadmarton GC are
absolutely great nearby choices.

Very friendly staff, a nice wide open course but quite long, so if you're not a big hitter, you will find it tough going, as I did.
I still like it though and enjoy returning.

Very friendly club in Oxfordshire
I tried this club for the first time and played millionaire golf for the morning. Nobody else on the course but I found this was down to Tuesday's not being a senior day so it's generally a bit quieter. The staff were very friendly and provided me with a course layout map and although the bar was closed when I returned, there were plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available in the shop.
There is no driving range at this club and the greens were a little frayed around the edges but the hot weather and lack of rain had contributed to this.
If you head to this course and use Google maps, the postcode will take you to a private residence......DON'T ring the intercom on the gate, as I did and woke a lady up.
Drive past the turning and you will see the entrance to Rye Hill, clearly on the right.

Poor course
Only played front 10, so maybe last 8 are much better & some of my criticism is unfair. The first 6 holes are just non descript & might as well as hit a ball up & down a long field. Probably didn't help that it was the middle of winter after a week of rain, but no difference between fairways, rough & tee areas!! Greens, just not worth putting on, forget chipping, as flags were all 3 ft from front & aprons were mostly mud. Bunkers covered in weeds & edges look like not cut for months.
7th was first proper 'golf hole' as gorse gave a bit of character. 8, 9 & 10 slightly better than first 6. It's a shame as they have so much space the course with some money spent on 'features' & more greenkeepers, could be made good.
At least the course was empty as it was minus 1 and windy.
I have played here before about 5 years ago, & remember thinking then, won't go out my way to play it again. Couldn't be more different from their adjoining neighbours.
Pro shop were friendly.
