(Round played: May 2016 - Score: 90 Handicap: )nice easy walking course, tree lined so you need to be straight, greens a little slow but in great nick. All very friendly staff and members. Nice cold beers on tap.

In fantastic condition. Always is. Very hot day and fairways where very hard. Have a lot of bounce.

Great course in superb condition. Played July 15. Decent test to all golfers with elevated greens and dangerous bunkers. Would definitely play again. Staff friendly and so were the members I spoke to

I have been a member of Runcorn for just over a year. In that time i have seen the course in various conditions but overall it is usually in excellent condition. The course is tight as everyone else states in their reviews so if you're not straight then you're in trouble. There is the odd water hazard here and there (I have never found the water on this course) and the bunkers are nicely scattered around (not a massive amount of fairways ones though). Basically, if you're straight (you don't have to be long), you will knock it round here and usually come off with a good score.
Alan (The head greenkeeper) and his staff are constantly working and maintaining the course, you will always see them out and about doing various jobs. I don't use the facilities of the clubhouse that much but when i have i have been made to feel very welcome (even before i become a member), and the professional "Kevin", having played 18 holes with him some time ago is a very nice guy and i wouldn't hesitate to take up a few lessons with him.
Overall i think the membership price (just over £500 for 5 days) is about as good as you will find anywhere around the north west and Runcorn is definitely a course you should try out at some point.

really good course to play if your in the area, always in great condition with friendly bar staff
but pity today I left my golf brain at home but still enjoyed the day the bonus it didn't rain

Great challenging course. Lots of tree lined fairways and if you go off you'll find a tree to hide behind!
Greens recently aerated so the ball not running entirely true, but give it a couple of days and they will be.
