Very hard tight course. But because of the recent rains the first cut off the fairway was very long and took a long time to find your ball even when you saw exactly where it went. Also boggy in places. I would play it again but only in the hieght of summer.

A game of two halves !
What a fantastic little course this is and so close to me in Doncaster, but I had never played it before. The front nine is probably the tightest front nine I have played of any course locally and potentially ever, which is a bold statement, but I would challenge someone to find me a tighter one. Having played the front and hopefully survived the really interesting layout, you cross back across the road to do the back nine. Arriving on the 10th, you wonder whether you have stumbled on to the wrong course as suddenly everything is wide open and generous. My mate and I play off 6 and 9 respectively and we loved it. Score well on the front nine and you will accumulate more points on the back nine as some of the par 5's are reachable in two and the fairways are far more generous. The front nine layout is fantastic, but could absolutely destroy a wayward player. The 9th is a short par four, basically down a tunnel with trees maybe 50 yards apart as you get nearer to the green up a hill. For ?25 this was a treat, although I hear in winter its very wet. The pro shop was adequate and the pro was very friendly and accommodating. The tee boxes need a bit of work and TLC and the greens had been sanded which left a lot of good putts very short. We will definitely return and I would recommend you challenge your golfing abilities and give it a go.Reviewer Rating

Contrasting nine holes, with very difficult greens. This course is a real test it is essential to drive straight . Always a pleasure to play here, welcome visitors to take up the challenge.

Absolutely mint!
Whilst various courses I've played recently are struggling with dried out fairways due to the recent lack of rainfall, I played Renishaw last week & it's in exceptional condition.The club pro, the staff & all the members were very welcoming & we thoroughly enjoyed our day out.
Would definitely recommend.

Great course with two different loops of 9 . Front is a lot tighter where the back you can open your shoulders off the tee . Good fairways and excellent greens .

Contrasting front nine compared to back nine. Front nine is very tight with undulating greens. Back nine is more open from the tee boxes and has 4 par 5's. Good all round course with much variety of shots. A very enjoyable test.

well what can I say this is a fantastic course
We played it after a members medal completion and all the greens had been ironed and very fast , I was truly amazed with this course and there pin positioning
facilities are very good and a well stocked pro shop with very friendly and helpful staff
all in all a very pleasant afternoon

Nice parkland track
Played in early 2017 so the course was on some winter temps and a slightly tweaked layout but we know this and the course was priced accordingly.A nice varied layout and super friendly members. Would love to go back when the course is up to its usual self.

Excellent course which is very well looked after with lovely fairways & some of the truest greens I've played on. Tight first 9 & then it opens up a bit on the back 9. The club pro, Michael was very helpful & the members were friendly. I will definitely return here

A very well manicured course. Fairways, greens and bunkers were all equally impressive. Accurate driving required because mature trees line every fairway and in some cases the width of the fairway is more than usually narrow. Fairways on the first none holes reminded me of links golf with many humps and bumps making for unpredictable bounces. Good variety of holes presenting many interesting challenges. A road splits the two nines, you never see it but you can always hear the cars. Being so mature makes it a visually stunning course.

A very nice course which is always a pleasure to play.
The greens were much slower than we had experienced previously but the weather overnight could have been the reason for this.
The club facilities are limited but the service was good.
The signature hole for us is the 9th which is a good test of accuracy.
Will be happy to return again next year.
