What The Club Says

The Ver Course
Was opened in 1971. It has a first class layout and offers some stunning views of the Hertfordshire countryside. This parkland course has a par of 70 and measures 6270 yards from the yellow tees. The Course is quite open but well positioned spinneys, streams and bunkers make for an interesting round. If that is not enough to think about there is plenty of out of bounds areas to avoid too.

The Kingsbourn
This 9-hole Par 3 course is surprisingly long at some 1361 yards. It offers the opportunity to use almost every club is your bag with holes ranging from 111 to 225 yards in length. Although every hole provides a good challenge, there is still plenty of space for the ‘wayward ball’ making the Kinsbourne ideal for the novice golfer.

Enjoyable course in good condition

Challening layout, the greens were in nice condition but the speed varied significantly between them. Some very pretty holes, and a few fillers. Worth playing if you are in the area but not a destination.

Brilliant course, very well kept with challenging holes throughout. This time of year the greens are a little sandy but still good.

How golf should be

Lovely course, friendly locals and a hood challenge, with undulating fairways. Highly recommended.

Very nice course

Despite the time of year and recent heavy rain the course was in very good condition, although the greens were a little bobbly. Rough was thick and wet so keeping it on the fairway is a bonus.

Layout is a good challenge with some interesting holes that are pleasing on the eye.

Good stocked pro shop and nice clubhouse with good food and drink.

Everyone was very welcoming.

This could be a lovely course, some dull holes, but overall a good layout. Sadly it is in very poor condition, the greens were mostly dry mud with patchy grass, no apron or approach, anything just off the green was like a school rugby pitch. Fairways weren\'t bad, but tee boxes were a mess. There doesn\'t seem to be any irrigation system anywhere on the course. Maybe it\'s better in wetter months, but to be charging £50 for this poor. Very slow and over crowded, had to wait at every tee box. The group in front of us walked off at 14, and we gave up at 15 after four and a half hours. So many better courses in the area for the money.

Course is really nice in parts, particularly the par 3s. Unfortunately the greens were absolutely atrocious, needs sorting urgently to keep people coming back
