Great course, bit boggy given the time of year. Not all greens in play, with some winter greens.

Ravensworth
As a weekend golfer this course is perfect if you want to challenge your game there are some really fantastic holes to navigate your way around this is an open golf course you watch for the dog walkers(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: )

Some of the views were exceptional, the holes were varied but the course is very up and down. I loved this but we did get caught up behind a very, very slow 3-ball competition...Reviewer Rating

So many signature holes
Have played all of the more fancied courses in the North East over the last 2-3 years and this one must be in the top 3 or 4. It's refreshing to play a quirky course that's over 100 years old with so many different challenges but which also throws in the odd short forgiving holeReviewer Rating

Very nice course, well maintained. Each hole a different challenge, mix of short and long holes. Tight course so rewards accuracy. Lots of greens in upside down bowl shapes and lots of brakes in the greens so a test for the short game. Will definitely be back

Course in great condition. Greens are fast with some tricky borrows. Fairways are like carpets. A really good test of golf. Fantastic views of the Angel of the North and surrounding area. Green fee offers fantastic value. Made to feel really welcome by staff and members after our round.

Played this course a few times in recent months and it's in fantastic condition. Fairways are like carpets and the greens are a proper test of golf; true rolling with subtle borrows. Par 3's are a proper challenge (especially 5th!). Clubhouse is great too - good food and a warm welcome from staff and members who really make you feel at home.

Course was in excellent condition, greens very fast, fairways lush and soft, some testing holes, very enjoyable. Clubhouse was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return very soon for an open comp.

Played as a visitor on Saturday afternoon (9th July) and course was excellent.Greens were so quick and very true. As I played after 3pm it was only £16. Cant get better value than that for such a good course.

The greens staff have done a great job after a long and hard winter for such a lot of us. Fairways are well manicured and in fantastic condition. Greens the same giving all players a good and fair test of their game.
Members and staff are friendly and helpful. Great bar and catering facilities with views from the balcony across the valley and The Angel of the North.
Definitely worth a visit.

The course was in overall good shape. Some greens work being reseeded. There had been lots of rain the night before and many holes on the green were filled with water.

Bar staff very friendly. A lot of people turn there noses up at this course, but I have played it on many occasions and think it is a cracking course.
