Fur Coat No Knickers
First the positives: Impressive clubhouse, history on display, friendly pro shop staff, course guide included, good practice faciliites for putting and chipping. This was a bucket list treat for my son's 16th birthday. The range we were told would be closing in 15mins due to a junior lesson. We raced up there to hit our 30 balls included in the green fee. Very basic range, some matts and a field.
We started on Himalayas and then Shore. The fairways were very average, as were the greens. The bunkering looks impressive, but the sand quality ranged from builders sand to fine grained. All forgivable on an average course for an average green fee. This is not Open quality. The course doesn't really have any memorable hoes, all are ok but nothing special. Gene Sarazens bunker wow. It was a hot and windy day and we finished the round underwhelmed, looking forward a drink in the clubhouse. The time was 6:45pm. There were about 20 people inside. We were refused a drink, not even a water or coke, as the bar was now shut, so we left disappointment complete, with a raging thirst, vowing never to return. Very over priced, living off past glories. Save your money play somewhere else.

Himalaya / Shore
Great course, well kept, fab greens. Typical links course, trouble if you are not on line. Good enough variation in holes but wouldn't say there were any spectacular holes, just good all roundReviewer Rating

Very nice but probably not worth the money
Paid £124 to play Shore / Dunes on a lovely day in May. I really liked the course but overall would struggle to say it represented good value of money. Condition of the course was good rather than excellent, clubhouse was OK but not in keeping with the green fees. Pro shop and clubhouse staff excellent.Reviewer Rating
