What the club says: Stonelees isn't the only golf centre with 27 holes of well-manicured golf. However, it is rare for a 27-hole facility to have three distinctly different golf courses, with each one built specifically for a certain level of golfer:
* Par 3 course for beginners and juniors.
* The Executive Course for Intermediate or "average" golfers which has seven par-3s and two par-4s.
* The Heights Course for Low handicapers, a full-length nine holes with two superb par-5s.

Three nines - all good for different players
I've played many rounds at Stonelees, from happy times on the par 3 nine with my then six-year-old son, to great fun on the (slightly more difficult) Executive nine, with its mix of par 3's and fours as our games improved. The later is pretty benign, but not a walkover, with shots over water testing the nervous on four holes, and, on the fifth, a long par four, a very narrow fairway with water all down the left. It's good preparation for The Heights. This nine is NOT for beginners. It's a full length course with daunting tee shots on nearly every hole. Good placement of your drive is essential, and the ability to shape the ball both ways off the tee would be a distinct advantage, none more so than on the frightening par 5 fifth. You've got water 180 yards in front of you to catch a mishit drive, plus water all down the left. And the landing area slopes from right to left down to...that's right. More water. The greens are well guarded so your short game will be tested, and the dancefloors are usually in excellent condition. It's a brilliant course (the view from the elevated seventh tee of the fairway stretching out in front of you is one of my favourites anywhere) with very reasonable green fees and - usually (social distancing notwithstanding) - a 'no booking rquired' policy. I like all three nines and can heartily recommend it. It's not a links, despite being near the sea, and just a mile from some of the most famous links in the world, but does share some characteristics (rolling fairways, wind usually a factor). What it is is a terrific place whether you're a beginner or much more experienced.

Will be returning
I play most of my golf at North Foreland. I wasn’t expecting much when I was invited by a friend to Stonelees. The greens were fantastic, staff very friendly and it was reasonably priced. I will be coming back

Challenging course but very good value
Have played here many times, course is well maintained and rounds are cheap. Fairways are quite tight but that adds to the challenge.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 102 Handicap: 27.5)

Nice course, good value.
Decent 9 hole course. Played the heights. They have 3 courses available. Definitely will be back to play the others soon.

Great challenge
A challenging course , take care if you are afraid of water

wet
A great 9 hole course, one of the best I have played, even with the weather, the greens were of an outstanding state, well done(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 105 Handicap: 18.5)

Great local course
Good variety of courses. The Heights course has matured well since a few years ago and was in good condition although the greens had recently been renovated, a tough challenging course. Staff friendly as always and relaxing clubhouse with good food and drink. Great value for money
