What The Club Says
The course was voted 55th out of the top 100 UK Golf Courses and is located just 8 miles west of Swansea on the Gower Peninsula, designated the UK’s first area of outstanding natural beauty. There is not a weak or a prosaic hole on this short gorse and heather framed, 6,809 yard, par 71 track. Awkward lies and stances are a matter of course and the rugged terrain becomes even more dramatic on the back nine. Beware also, the forty bunkers, which although not exceptionally large, are very well placed and sometimes lethal! Pennard's most remarkable hole may be the 351 yard 7th, which heads out to sea from a high, noble tee. The line of flight between the sparse ruins of a 13th century church and more imposing remnants of Pennard Castle, which dates from the 1100's, presents one unforgettable experience.

Captains charity day
Played Pennard for the captains charity day. Really well organised and a great day was had. The wind made the course a good test. Greens were slick and true to putt on. The course I'd a great layout with a variety if differing and challenging holes. Thoroughly recommend a visitReviewer Rating

great spot on the Gower
We had a monsson for nearly 2 hours as we were arriving but amazingly the skies cleared for our T time and the course was not waterlogged anywhere...Amazing scenary and views and the course is in great condition , but due to the setting, proper links course , its not manicured fairways but greens were fast and true.
All in all a must visit course

Wonderful setting on The Gower
This was our 3rd course on a golf weekend in South Wales and was well worth the visit. Fantastic views across the Bristol Channel and Three Cliffs Bay form the backdrop to this very challenging links style course.Reviewer Rating

Overplayed
Played on a wet and windy June day. Reception at clubhouse excellent, very welcoming. Practice facilities very good. Course was very scrubby, most fairways very bare and pitted; hard to know if you were on. Either overgrazed by the cows or grass was dead. Greens and surrounds were superb.Reviewer Rating
