Great course
A lovely course, very friendly staff. Pace of play was terrible but we did play on a Saturday - just got stuck behind four ball after four ball and it was disastrously slow. So slow in fact we gave up half way round - first four holes was fine, after that the course ground to a virtual halt so we just played the front nine twice - waited on every single tee at least 5 or 10 mins and it was just too much, even on a sunny day. Views are spectacular, would recommend playing but just not at the weekend. An interesting heathland course which can be quite challenging, if not just avoiding the sheep and ponies.Reviewer Rating

Part 2 of our trip. Clyne. This was a refreshing change. As you arrive it’s a traditional no bells or whistles set up. Old fashioned “municipal” looking place. Don’t be fooled. This is a fantastic course. Use the putting green ( exceptional) as it gives you a great feel for the greens oncourse. Absolutely loved this track. If you like your fairways stripy and pristine, look elsewhere, but you’ll miss a treat. Horses, sheep, goats, the best groundsmen in the business. Evry hole a different challenge, you need to be pretty straight and be able to carry some brutal foliage, but wow, the geeens are some of the best I’ve played on. It’s just a different type of golf and I personally loved it. Play it and see for yourself or miss it and wish you hadn’t. Keep out of the gauze or at least take plenty of balls!!!!!!Reviewer Rating

Greens fenced off - ridiculous
Course is spoilt by the fact that every green has a fence around it. This looks terrible and inhibits proper play. As I was not playing well enough to hit the greens I was constantly chipping over a fence from the apron. Not how golf should be in my opinion.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic views
This is a challenging course with a variety of different holes and plays very different depending on the wind strength and direction. Very wet conditions but the greens were in great condition and running true. Always a good welcome in the club.Reviewer Rating
