Best course in Dorest

If you are planning a trip to Bournemouth to play one of Parkstone, Broadstone or Ferndown, my choice would Parkstone. Accuracy is key - not just keeping the ball on the fairway (heather awaits if you are awry) but with raised greens and steep run offs good approach play is needed to score well. With a few blind shots I think you need to play it more than once to hit the correct lines. My favourite hole was the 10th, an excellent par 4.
I would also say the welcome was exemplary and we were very well looked after. We were delayed in our arrival due to a serious accident on the M27 so a 1 1/2 hour journey turned into 3 hours and we missed our pre-booked tee slot. We kept the club informed during our journey and they went out of their way to ensure we could play.

Stunning

The course is not the longest course but leave the fairways and your scorecard will take a hit. It is in immaculate condition. The tee boxes are perfect and the greens (despite heavy rain nearly closing the course) were quick and true.
Pro shop staff were friendly and the course marshall, Nick, was an absolute star.
I couldn't rate this course more highly and the members were friendly and welcoming.

Scenic peace haven

Mid-length with undulating fairways to give done thought about off the tees. Good bunker placement and quality of sand. Reasonably well presented clubhouse with good food, lovely views of the course and a decent shop.

Best in Dorset

One thing that Parkstone always provides and that is without doubt the best playing surfaces in Dorset. An undulating challenge and you really want to avoid straying too far from the fairway. The heather is quite punishing! The greens are perfect although be prepared for the high stimp. The course drains very well and the improvements are clear to see. There?s a very good reason ?Parky? is number 78 on the Golf Monthly Top 100 courses for UK and Ireland. Well worth visiting all.
