Nice course

Short course with 7 par 3, but not easy. Layout requires careful Club selection and accurate shots. Bunkers well placed to trap the unwary. Greens very fast and true, and in good condition. Some tees sloping and undeveloped which can affect drive. Definitely worth a visit.

This was honestly one of the best kept courses that I have played during the winter I would not hesitate to play it again or recommend it. Not a snotty club in the slightest staff are really friendly and helpful. Even giving me a call in the morning to keep me updated on whether or not you could use trolleys or not. Absolutely fantastic experience and can't wait to play again.
Only downfall was that the driving range was not open even though they have mats it would have been fantastic to warm up before the round

Little Gem

First time playing here and a really pleasant course. Not the longest but you do need to plot your way around as quite narrow in places and easy to run out of over clubbed. Greens had signs of previous treatment but still played well and im sure in a few weeks will reap the benefits of the work. Some lovely looking holes and after in play in a few places, a little gem at ?27 on a Friday afternoon.

Well Hidden little Gem

Very nice course to play - short but very attractive and mostly in good condition. Tee boxes a bit uneven and dishevelled in places. Greens excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Big hitters might not use their driver very often!

Excellent

Don’t often leave reviews but we were very impressed with Oakland Park. Able to get a morning tee time and whilst it’s not a long course, it’s tricky and in good condition with some holes that require serious accuracy.
Not many opportunities to hit driver but it has a number of small greens with approach shots that require you to be on the money otherwise your ball flies off.
For the price it is a bit of a steal and we really enjoyed our round. Would certainly return.

Beautiful Little Course

Bit of a hidden gem this. Beautifully maintained with lovely greens and a perfect course for an afternoon round. We found the staff to be very helpful with a lovely bar, too. Very pleasant course, not particularly long but a fair challenge with some beautifully framed holes and interesting touches. Very easy walking with a fantastic pace of play. Worth every penny, too.

What a lovely course, in excellent condition. There are some tricky holes that will make you think about the tee box. The greens were in perfect condition, well done to the green keepers, although the Bunkers not great.

Short but nice

First visit to a course many of our group didn't know existed, but will no doubt play again. Whilst a relatively short course the layout gives you plenty to think about in regards to club selection off the tee. Definitely not just a driver off every tee. Very welcoming staff, course in good condition, greens very good.

Fifth time my son and I have played Oakland Park. It is up there with our favorite courses ( most of which are Scottish links ). Just wish that it was nearer. This time the course had a lot of frost on it and so was a little less forgiving, hence the Course Conditions mark. Friendly club and challenging, well maintained course - what more could you want.

When we arrived we spoke with Stephen (manager I think), about some reviews we’d seen and how stuffy the club was. I can honestly say we didn’t see any of this. The people we met were friendly and helpful. The course was in excellent condition. A short course but has some challenging holes. The greens and fairways were in great condition. We would certainly play there again, I’m also going to suggest one of our society days to be held there

First time visit. Had expected it would be in a better condition given well draining, hilly etc. but was marginally disappointed that still showing winter?s affects. Greens recently aerated too which hadn't been made aware of. Ultimately a short course which will work best in summer & Autumn I suspect

Pretty and Short Course

There are seven par 3's, only two par 5's, plus five par 4's under 320 yards, so this certainly isn't the longest course you're ever going to play. What it lacks in length it makes up for in the condition though, with excelent greens, tees and fairways. It's not a course that always makes it easy for you either, with a number of narrow, tree lined fairways, and a few ponds here and there. If you're wide from the tee (like I was), then be prepared to reload.

The most memerable hole was probably the par 4 9th, which has trees up the left, and a pond on the right that eats into the fairway right where you want to land your tee shot.

I wsn't able to check out the clubhouse due to the plague that's overstaying it's welcome, but from what I could see it looked very pleasant.

Not long, but certainly worth a visit.
